Thermostatic Control
This fish tank heater can automatically control the temperature. It will automatically turn off as the temperature rises above the internal setting you choose, and turns back on like clockwork once it sufficiently cools down.

Operation instruction:
1, The 500 watt aquarium heater could be installed horizontally and vertically, and it should be immersed into water completely.
2, When the water is not enough, the heater reads E1, and need to add more water.
3, It takes about 10~15 minutes to get used to the water temperature. Then adjust and set the desired temperature value.
4, It starts to work if the actual temperature value is lower than the settled value, unless it doesn't work.
5, We suggest the horizontal installment.
Note: Due to some unpredictable external factors, it's normal that the temperature difference is ±5°F.
The temperature zone is 2 degrees each click.The small dot between each 2 numbers means 2 degrees difference.

Lasted about 6 weeks before it malfunctioned and the temp ran away. Hit 100 degrees before i realized it and killed $150 worth of fish. Cant find an email address to see if the company has any warranty on it.

Regretfully....I ordered two of the water heaters and intended to keep them as spare backup heaters for my 75 gallon long aquariums.After installing the heaters, one at each end of the long tank, they DID work to heat the water, .......BUT would NOT shut off?THEY JUST KEPT ON SLOWLY HEATING the water to over 27 degrees C, until I discovered the situation and unplugged them immediately. I repeated the same thing several times and the same thing happened, the thermostats will not shut off!The waters heaters would have killed all my pet fish, had I not discovered the problem in time.There has to be a defect in the heaters as both temperature controls (2) didn't work

Very disappointed with this heater quit working after 6 monthes. Not sure how to return it for a new one.

It's broken and I have used it for a month!Here is the deal though. Customer service is hard to come. So even though it didn't last long. They took to my bad review and sent me a new one!!! That says more than anything in my opinion. Thank you!!!

55 gallon aquarium. The look and feel of this heater is first rate. It took time the first time use to reach set temperature. This is normal as it reacts to the current temperature and shuts off often at the beginning. Reaches set temperature and easily maintains. Would recommend 100%

I have a 70 gallon tank, and I did not notice the temperature decrease to 50 degrees, no wonder my fish weren’t active. I bought this heater and it took about a day to return my tank to 80 degrees but my fish we’re definitely happy when it started getting warmer! I like the temperature control I set it to 80 a light goes on when it’s heating, it maintains the temperature. It’s really long so in order to submerge the whole heater I had to add water it touches the bottom. But overall I’m happy with my purchase.

100% garbage. Arrived on Mar 22, 2025 via Amazon prime around 6PM. I submerged it in my 15 gallon long tank immediately, then set the heater to 80F around 8PM. I first turned the dial all the way up then all the way down before setting at 80F. My tank water registered 72F at this time. This is my Betta fish tank so it needs to be around 80F-82F. The next morning at 8AM, the temperature of the water was at 72.6F. The small increase in temp was probably due to the morning sun, not the heater. 12 hours and no temperature increase at all. Very disappointing. Confirming there is power to the heater because the ON light is red, but the heater is totally ineffective. Complete garbage, poor quality. Do yourself a favor and buy a brand name heater, otherwise you will be spending a lot more over the long run on these cheap Chinese heaters. I am processing my return as I am writing this review. btw, the top of the box (packaging) was slightly crushed because it came in an envelope, but I cannot confirm if this caused the damage. Buyer beware.

Likes...1. It keeps my tank at a very consistent temperature (also see dislikes).2. Heating element is further protected in a sturdy plastic housing.3. Because of the housing, three widely spaced suction cups keep it in place. With large fish, that's a nice feature.4. Lots of power. 500 wattDislike...1. It took a lot of trial and error to get to an acceptable temperature setting. The "numbered temperature adjustment" is fairly useless.
