I love using these to start seedlings. I recently used these to sprout luffa seeds. Once they’d grown large enough and hardened, I planted them right in the ground in the ground while still in the pot.The material is sturdy and thick and withstood quite a bit of watering without degrading as I waited for the seedlings to grow. The drainage holes are just the right size. Over time, the material breaks down easily, allowing for root and plant growth.

These pots work great to fit in the tray kits I purchased separately. I wet the soil before placing in the individual pots and then used a spray bottle to mist going forward. My seeds have come up beautifully. I think I will try cutting the bottom off the pots when I plant them in the ground to to make sure the roots can escape.

I grow indoor using coco but start my seeds in soil. I prefer to use peat pots over Jiffy pellets which I tried once and had poor results. I find it a lot easier to tell if it's time to water using peat pots over the pellets too. In my opinion there is nothing better for starting seeds. In the past I have used the peat pots, that come 12 connected like an egg carton, which I picked up at local garden shop, but the pots are just a bit too small. I manged okay but wanted something just a little bigger. These are a perfect size being about 25% bigger in overall size. Plus they are not connected together which makes them easier to manage. And you get a lot more for the money than you do the other style. I like the included plant markers too, I just wish they had provided more since I use a sharpie making them a one use item. These are now my go to seed starters. I won't need any for a while now, but when I do I will not hesitate to purchase these again.

This is a great option if you are looking for something to start little baby seeds, but overall I've had better luck with using nursery pots (which you can usually get used for free or really cheap). This is a good option if you don't live in area that has an abundance of nursery pots as these are cheaper than buying nursery pots new.
