I purchased these because I couldn’t find anything bigger than your typical small overly powdered perlite. I like to make a chunky/airy substrate for my tropical plants. Bigger pieces than pictured but easy enough to break up. Just what I was needing.

I was making a potting mix of soil-less soil and this perlite was perfect. It's really difficult to find good BIG perlite pieces since I only ever see them sell smaller ones. I'm about to place a second purchase of this.

This stuff is really good and my alocasias really like the larger chunks, that being said, I haven’t repurchased due to price.
