They also increase the bearing surface so that the load is distributed over a larger area. Use of these washers results in a more finished and cleaner looking appearance. Ensure that the screw head fits inside the recessed portion of the washer.

These are not brass in color, they are more rose-gold (pink). There were not 50 in each pack, there were only 40. The openings were barely #8, very snug. We did not ask for a return because we had opened the packs and tried our best to make them work (which failed). We only ordered from this vendor because our previous choice was out of stock; I would not recommend purchasing.

Some how copper washers were delivered, not the Brass as described

I ordered these because it was brass plated (golden/brass look). I received them today and the color was copper. I have provided pictures and hope it helps someone determine if it is the color they need. To me, they do not match the Amazon picture of the item color. However, if you want copper looking washers, they would be fine, I think.
