It's light, sturdy, offers plenty of shade, wicks away sweat, has a chinstrap for windy days and at the end of a long day in the sun, it's machine-washable. There are other options out there but this one gets my vote - it's simply a near-perfect solution for outdoor work and play.

100% cotton boonie hat, stitching looks great and finishing/seams are top notch. It does seem to fit a little looser though, I measured my head and came up with the 7 1/2 size, but when I put it on I could pull it over my ears! LolI threw it in a pot of hot (not boiling) water for 10 mins or so and then put it in the dryer and it shrunk it enough that it fits perfect now. Guess I would order 7 1/4 if I bought again.I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if I lost or wrecked this one. Surprisingly feels cooler than a baseball cap because it shades your ears and head.

Sizing is accurate, quality is good! I measured my head with a cloth tape measure and chose a hat size as close as possible on the larger side, figuring it will probably shrink in the wash. I'm very pleased with the hat! The draw string has a small leather sliding thing which can snug the strap under the chin, and the band around it is designed for clipping stuff on, such as cigarette lighter or other small items. Perfect hat!

After about $100. spent on several boonies (including Proper) I have success ! ! This boonie cover measures very close to the original "Sekri" without Marpat or other camo. The bucket has the proper rake with the back measuring 4 inches tall, the front measuring 3 inches tall, as it should. Allows more head room instead of the average after market that fits snug against the top of my head. Very comfortable. Thanks Proper ! ! Be perfect if the brim had an additional 1/4 inch width to match the original Boonie and provide comparable flop. Size at 7.5 is slightly large. I expect it to shrink to perfect.

Je n'ai pas été emballé par le côté gauffré du matériau utilisé : trop rigide et pas assez épais à mon goût. Du coup, cela rend compliqué de "faire" ce chapeau de brousse sur la tête et donner à la visière les plis qu'on souhaite. Egalement, je trouve qu'il manque bien 2,5 cm de largeur tout autour du bord pour assurer une protection au soleil confortable.
