Bees are beneficial creatures that only sting when threatened, but wasps and hornets are just jerks without jobs, and the Rescue WHYTR-BB8 Wasp Hornet & Yellow Jacket Trap is going to keep them from roaming around your outdoor space. This simple trap uses food bait to bring in up to 18 species of stinging insects that includes four species of paper wasps, bald-faced hornets, and European hornets, and 12 species of yellow jackets. It doesn't trap bees, so you don't need to worry about your flowers. There's no killing agent involved, just a two-stage trap that they can't leave once they enter. Dimensions: 4.7L x 4.75W x 12H in.. Made of plastic. Clear and green in color. Outdoor use. Reusable design.

These are amazing if you have a wasp issue. Never seen a trap attract so many wasps. Make sure you put it out when they are not active, otherwise you risk getting stung it attracts them so well. So effective!

I live in Edmonton, Alberta area and we have a ton of wasps on our acreage. We just did the two week change out of the stuff inside and we had a full canister of wasps! So gross but it works like a hot damn! Would definitely buy again. A little pricey for refills but it’s worth it.

We have a ton of wasps this year and I tried a few different, less expensive options first including those beehive shaped ones - those didn’t catch a single wasp. This one has been up for less than a week and there are dozens. It’s also very effective at attracting wasps away from our patio so that we can enjoy time outside without being bothered by wasps. The refills look expensive, but I think this will be worth it over the course of the summer. I really like that this is reusable and there is no sticky mess that starts to stink and needs to be cleaned up.

Wasps squatting in your walls? Hornets immigrating underneath your deck? I have a small observation hive, and my honey-bees just want to thrive and live in peace, but they exist in a world that gave them no defense. The Rescue! W•H•Y trap will fix that. I bought 12, and absolutely murder Hornets & Wasps. Honey-Bees are less stressed and the honey yields are sweeter!

Within an hour of setting this up and hanging it on my patio, there were about 15 wasps in the trap and countless others crawling on the trap trying to get in. Excellent product, I have ordered another.

I have a wasp problem every year and this trap outperforms the others quite well. Unfortunately, the company has decided to price the atractant refils so expensively that it isn't worth it. I know use some of the cheaper ones and they do a pretty good job..The unit sells today on Amazon for $47 and the refills are $ 67. THat is overly pricy! For that reason alone I cannot recomend this trap! If paying way to much for something is not an issue for you then this trapped worked really well for me!

Effective trap for wasps. Does not usually attract bees. The only down side is the bait has to be renewed and adds additional cost, but it does work efficiently. Had to empty the trap once a day in the height of the season.

We have been using the original yellowjacket traps for a couple years and they're great, so thought I'd try these. We had 3 set up in place of the yellowjacket traps, the only thing they caught were moths.

My package came with no instructions. Upon getting instructions online, I noticed that I was missing almost everything, it only came with the yellow attractant. No green attractant, no attractant vial, no twist tie. I guess I have a useless tube now.

We bought two of these units, with extra refills. It has caught a few, but only a few. The reason I have only given it a two star review is the lower chamber keeps catching yellow jackets/wasps, but they almost all get back out, that is a catastrophic failure for a "trap". Again we got two of these "traps" and have watched as they both catch the pests and then the pest gets loose. We have seen at least two dozen in the trap and only 5 have died in it, three of them died because I pulled the "trap" and put it in the freezer to keep them from getting away. The top of the "trap" has only caught one honeybee since they were hung 6 weeks ago, and it's not suppose to catch honeybees. Seems like a 5 star product, but for us has not lived up to the basic function of a trap. One star for the purchasing and delivery without incident, one star for being easy to use with clear directions.
