It is fine when it is new. After several months of use in the very hot and humid South Florida weather, I found that the switch in the back of the unit, which turns the sign off and on, becomes "worn out", and the ability to turn on stops. It appears toi be a design flaw, as this has happened on several; units over 15+ years, And when you contact Ring customer service to replace under warranty, they drive you nuts. Not the most customer oriented group of folks.

My sign doesn't light up at night.... changed the battery, still won't light up ..The only time the sign lights up, is when I put my hand on the solar part, I know it's not supposed to be like that...Put it is a good deterate for security

Works great and no one has stolen it lol, I can’t ask for anything more. It was easy to put together and “install”. I was a little surprised the pole part was plastic because my last regular sign had a metal base, but it’s holding up well so far.

I recently picked up the Ring Solar Security Sign, and I’ve got to say, it’s pretty solid!Pros:Visibility: First off, this sign is super visible. I love that this sign is solar. I put it in the front flower bed so it can be well seen from the sidewalk which can also pick up on my Ring security cam. Really inexpensive for the peace of mind.

Was a bit skeptical about this working in the cold. Wasn't sure of the battery would work in -20c. It has worked well so far.
