Full disclosure I did return this hat simply because the sizing and I take 7 1/4 in diameter and this one was really tight all the way I ordered that size this one was very tight.So unable to use it but the quality was good I will say that and breathability seemed quite good but I never got a chance to wear it in the hot hot sun so I can't speak to that

First ordered a couple different brands, this one was definately the best. Sturdy lightweight fabric and fit very well on my large dome. Cool and well vented for the soutern US weather.

I have a large head, but hat fits well. Chin strap keeps it firmly fitted while travelling from fishing spot to fishing spot. Well made!

Good material. Like that 45% polyester to help with shrinkage and breathability. Washed it and placed brim flat to get it back to not being bent.

Great looking hat! Appears to be well made and stitched. Be sure and measure your head around with a cloth tape measure! I didn't, thinking the Size-7's I've wore in the past were a bit sloppy. So, I ordered a Size-7 as some reviews said they run smaller. They were right it runs a bit smaller PLUS I DID NOT measure and have since found out my skull has grow to 22-1/4" which is a 7-1/8th. - Instead of returning it, I'll probably wash and just hang it up to dry out of the Sun so it doesn't shrink up from the Sun (or from using the Dryer) any further ... or I won't be able to wear it. Or, soak it up good in COLD-WATER, put it on and go outside and mow the lawn, ha! Would buy again! I will order a Large 7-1/2 next time since I know now I measure at 7-1/8th - make your own decision. Stay cool! Thank you, Amazon & Army Universe!
