My cats were hesitant at first when I rewrapped their scratching posts, but they love them now! Maybe it’s because they’re still quite ‘new’ but I don’t notice as much mess as I did with the old rope that came on their scratching posts originally.

I wish I had read all the negative reviews before I bought this, and I could have saved myself the trouble. A lot of people discovered the same thing I did - the rope was saturated with oily material that reeked of fuel or petrochemicals even before I took it out of the plastic wrapping. Not at all suitable for indoor use (or maybe for any use unless you're wearing protective gloves), and hazardous to the health of people and pets. As another reviewer discovered, this is not the kind of thing that will be fixed by leaving it outside for a few days or weeks. I returned the rope the very next day, and I was very lucky that it had not contaminated the other purchase that arrived in the same box (a double-wrapped, vacuum-packed pet blanket-pad). Some buyers thought it was a good product, so maybe it is luck of the draw which one you get. For now, I suggest trying a different seller with no negative reviews on their product - at least, not the kind of reviews where you might be dealing with a toxic product.

My cats went crazy on the scratching post to the point where it was all frayed and falling apart. It took less than an hour to replace with this rope and a bit of gorilla glue. I used glue for the top and bottom sections and just wrapped the middle. Holding up well so far!

Decent enough but not equivalent to original sisal rope that came on your cat tree. Colour, width and texture is significantly different (see photos).Rope tangles very easily if used as packaged. I recommend winding around a cardboard template (see photo) to make application to tree post more manageable.NOTE: Allergy sufferers. This produces A LOT of dust. Take your antihistamine before working with it.Yet to be furry feline tested 😸

My kitty loved to play with the rope as I was wrapping it. Perfect texture, very strong and doesn't fray or splinter. Using a tight wraparound on a 4x4 post I was able to get about 70cm (28") of height (18" worth pictured) So I ordered a second roll for more coverage. Great stuff. My kitty loves his sisal posts and cardboard scratch pads so I'm glad he likes this too.

Great quality! Repaired bottom post on cat tree and it nearly matched. Time will tell how long it will last but so far so good.

I purchased this rope in order to fix my cat trees because my cats had scratched and shredded the carpeting on the bottom of the trees. This rope is a little thinner than I would have hoped for, but it is a good and strong rope and the cats seem to like it as they have continued using the post to do their nails. I am quite happy with the product and it has been doing it's job.
