I've used this on almost a daily basis for 4 months now to rework/remove/replace components. Have no complaints with it so far. First hotair reflow station i've owned and I am impressed with it for the price.

Very decent quality and both the airflow and temperature adjustments work well. I soldered various SMD and SOIC components successfully with this heat gun. It’s important to use proper solder and flux.

Not sure about its long term durability, but I'm very pleased with its function out of the box. Has a self cooling sleep mode when not holding the blower, and flow adjustment is good. Melts solder like a boss and the temperature control is pretty good to keep from burning flux and components. I like all the little extra tweezers, solder sucker, and tips, though I'm not sure what the 2 prong wire fork is supposed to be for.Not giving five stars because the electronics are quite cheap in the end.

This is truly a very awesome tool. Has the ability to remove chips from electronic boards so they can be replaced. With it I have replaced the Ram on the Original Xbox, removed a xbox video port, replaced a CDI timekeeper chip, Sega CD Ram Module & reflowed a PS3 motherboard. All that is needed it to add flux and set the temperature control to what you need for the job. The air gets hot enough to melt solder, then with the enclosed tweezers you can remove your component. I highly recommend this for anyone who does electronic repair and deals with component level board repair.

After reading many of the past reviews I came to the conclusion that this was the best tool for me at this time. I did discard the power cable that came with it since many had issues with it and I am using a heavier Guage power cable that I already had from a past laser printer I used to have. It does work great, just testing it I found it does get to temp very fast and when put into sleep mode, it also cools off just as fast. Will be testing it out tomorrow further. If anything arrives I will repost here.Updated ******Been using this wonderful tool. Love it and I use this rework tool for almost everything I need to do. Handle does get a little warm but not enough to prevent working with. I highly recommend this tool

I've only used it once so far but it helped me fix my girlfriend's hard drive, lol. I needed to swap a surface mounted ROM chip. It got up to temperature quickly. I didn't have any problems other reviewers have had with the tips. In less than five minutes I had the old chip off the original board, the chip off the replacement board, and the original chip back on the new board. Easy peasy. The included tweezers came in handy. I probably won't use it very often, but if I have any reliability issues, I'll update this review.

I liked it for the short time it worked. Wires are of convenient length (3ft), not too stiff. Easy to set up and control, heat up speed is reasonable, as is the price. The problem is the air gun broke when turned on for the first time. When I turned the blower on it started to heat up and within some 3-5 seconds, something inside of the station clicked. The air gun kept heating up until the heat sensor error came on (while heat and blower still on). Upon reading instructions/troubleshooting I checked the temp sensor inside of the air gun. Turned out the ground wire coming from outer shield of the gun (it was attached somewhat sloppily) was shorted with the metal part of the sensor (it was not insulated properly) and tripped something inside of the station. I believe I have read of a this issue with other soldering station while doing my research before deciding. If this flaw is resolved I would definitely keep this one.

Compact and does all that i expected. The accessory tools that came with it were also nice. In the past two days, I've replaced bad charging ports on two kindle fires and repaired 2 broken Xbox controllers and fixed a broken floor lamp using it. Those things alone easily justify the cost of this unit.
