The instructions are very unclear. I've spent 3 days trying to figure out the right way to assemble it but it's still not working right.

Sorry for the pun. The metal frame makes this aquarium stand nice and sturdy. It is just MDF with vinyl sheeting over it, so it will swell when exposed to water for a long period of time. As long as you wipe it dry it will hold up. Not the best materials for something that inherently holds water, but you get what you pay for. The dampened sitting cupboard doors are a nice touch though!

The leveling legs could not take the weight of a 40 gallon aquarium approx. 400 lbs ,when filled with water. Was very disappointed. My aquarium almost fell on the floor when the legs gave in. Not to mention that would not have been the best scenario. I would say in is a good aquarium stand if you do not use the leveling legs. I am very disappointed with this product because we bought this stand because of the leveling legs. I had to keep the stand as I had to put my fish in a 40 gallon tank asap. My husband had to rig something up to replace the 2 front adjustable legs. Thank goodness he is a handy man.

It's a solid product, well able to hold a heavy vivarium. It is also easily leveled thanks to the feet. I did not find the instructions easy to follow and had to start over several times. It wasn't clear to me how the walls line up with the metal frame (the wall has to be flush with the frame or the shelf doesn't mount properly). I also think the pre drilled holes for the hardware were slightly misaligned so the doors scrape the bottom of the shelf as they close. Finally, some holes were not pre drilled deeply enough and I had to re drill the holes.

The instructions were easy to follow.We have a weird 33 gallon tank and the stand was exactly the right length for it.

There were a few stands to choose from and I’m so glad I chose this one. Totally surprised how well this product was made. All the pieces were there, (even a few extra screws), the wood finish is very nice, and all pieces went together perfectly with no gaps. Packaging was extremely good and there was no damage to anything. Just take your time following instructions and you will be very pleased with the end result. Very durable and will last for years. For the money, I think it would be hard to find anything better.

It's really hard to find a good aquarium stand, i've shopped for a few for my aquariums previously and finding the right fit that will also suit your needs and your space can be a little tricky.This time around i was looking for a terrarium stand. Compared to the "aquarium stand", the searches for "terrarium stand" doesnt give you much. If an aquarium stand can hold heavy water weight, it can hold your reptile terrarium!The unit: I have an Exo-Terra double door terrarium 36x18x18 and this unit does the job perfectly! It's pretty stable, doesnt wobble and the terrarium sits comfortably on the top shelf. The corners are round so if you have a bad habit of walking into things, the corners wont hurt that much!The cabinet : It's pretty spacious in there, i can put all my live food and supplements for my gecko in there, which is great because i have two cats and they were going bananas over the wiggling worms and the crickets scampering in their pen. You have a good 11 inch height to put all your products, I personally stuck a light that pops on when detecting movements, it helps because this space is pretty deep !The bottom shelf : I personally dont use it, but there's 2 beams passing underneath so it's pretty sturdy to put another tank. It's 4 inch above the ground, so if you drop water, sand, a fish jumps out etc etc, you have a decent amount of space to clean underneath whatever mess could occur. My cats on the other hand are grateful for the offering of new sleeping quarters. They get to see what's going on without being in the way when i walk around!The only downside of this unit is the weight, it's a whopping 60 pounds...that's a little more than half my weight so i couldnt bring it up on the 3rd floor and had to take it up piece by piece upstairs. If you're going to be doing this too, be careful of the panels inserted in the metal frames for space in the box. I pulled a frame out thinking there was nothing to it and there was a door that fell all the way back at the bottom of the box when i pulled the frame out....it chipped the corner, that was my bad. Fortunately it doesnt show at all, i made sure that corner was in the upper left and because of the ledge you cant see it.Overall it's a pretty decent unit for the price, most of the ones i found were overpriced, didnt have cabinet space, or were not deep enough for an 18" deep terrarium. I believe this is one of the best choice out there for a 40 gallon tank or terrarium.

Easy to build but the pictures can be confusing. suggest to carefully look ahead a bit to see which way the picture shows the item on other pages

I haven’t done a full weight test, but this thing is solid. The instructions were so so so so amazingly clear and the thoughtfulness behind that and even the sticker placement on each piece so it’ll never be visible is literally the best and clearest I’ve ever seen!It looks great and I’ve spilt some water on it already from a 5g tank sitting on it now and 40g next to it and it wipes away with no residual issues. Great piece for the price.
