It's functional, but for anyone taller or heavier than me I doubt it would hold up long. I'm 100lbs under the max limit and it's still pretty rickety. One of the resistance ropes broke immediately as well and there was no way to contact the seller for a replacement.

Would not suggest purchasing this product. Build is of low quality (very rickety) and the back support cushion cannot be installed as the support bar is too long. The back support cushion can only be installed horizontally as the knee weight support.

Exceeded my expectations from the price I paid. Very sturdy on material.Instruction could be better. Don't follow it and build it ground up from the assembled picture will save you time.

The package arrived earlier than expected which was great.Assembly instructions were not very helpful. The bolts numbered didn't match the instructions but I eventually figured but it took some time.When you do pull up there is a little wobble but nothing scary.The assist mechanism is why I bought this and it does work , not as smooth as the one in the gym but it does work.Would give 5 stars if the instructions were better .June 2024 update:I have been using this machine almost everyday. Have been making progress but for a few months I have been cheating and I didn't know it.Make sure the length of the bar is high enough so that when you knees are on the pad your arms almost full extended. Also the position of your knees should be towards the backup the pad not the front.Today I tried to do a pull up unassisted I feel like I am almost there.

2 people toke 2 hours to assemble.for training people pull up looks better, I don't think it's good for strong people.
