I had high hopes for the Soiiw 7 Inch LCD Screen Separator, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The heating is uneven, making it difficult to properly separate screens without risking damage. The temperature control is unreliable, sometimes overheating and other times not warming up enough. On top of that, the build quality feels cheap, and the machine stopped working after just a few uses. Definitely not worth the money—I'd recommend looking for a more reliable option.

Using this hot plate for pre-heating pcb to aid in hot work to re-flow or replace bga chips. For this purpose it works. Unit is not safety certified by any agency that I can tell, so for that reason I do not and do not recommend leaving it unattended or plugged in when not in use. I know things can be safe without a certification, but I don't have the time to disassemble and inspect everything myself nor should I need to. Please look into getting safety certifications.

The hot plate is not the most sophisticated heating device and doesn't meet its specifications. However, it does a fair job. The heating area is small and localized, and the secondary aluminum top plate somewhat spreads the heat. There are a few drawbacks worth noting: there is no way to contain liquids in the event of a spill, making cleaning difficult. Additionally, the screws are countersunk, which complicates cleaning. The temperature selector is inaccurate; using an infrared camera and an infrared thermometer, the highest temperature reached on the plate's top part was about 100 degrees Celsius, falling short of the expected 120 degrees maximum.Another concern is the lack of safety certifications (CSA, UL, ETL), making it unsuitable for workplace or school use. However, I find it useful for my occasional need to heat paraffin wax, ensuring it stays below the temperature at which it starts to smoke and becomes a fire hazard. The lower temperature it provides is ideal for my needs, but I would never leave it unattended. Additionally, the wires leading to the heating element are exposed on the underside of the main plate, which raises safety concerns.I can't fully and comfortably recommend the hotplate.
