The Solo String Spacing Ruler is the tool you need to make nuts for any stringed instruments. No need for calipers, calculators or shop rulers.
Due to the design and laser etching it is accurate, easy to read and produces proportional string spacings.
Just mark the position of the center two outside strings, find the marks that exactly match these marks making sure you have the correct number of string markings and simply mark out the the string centers. If you are making a number of nuts of one size, mark the two outside string markings with a marking pen.
Can be used for single or double string setups.

Ok, you already know the benefit of taking into consideration string thickness when laying out string gap distances on that new guitar nut replacement. This stainless steel ruler is really to handle. Rigid with the ability to do a slight flex for the radius of the new nut. I really like having slots cut in the ruler rather than just marks on the surface. No calculation necessary. Accurate layout every time.

I had one concern that the text with instructions printed on the ruler would be scratched off eventually but it seems that the text is embossed into the metal making it permanent. I think others have stated that the metal seems a bit thin, but it seems about right to me.

I love this ruler! When I had not received the ruler in a couple weeks, the sender called me and asked if I still wanted it. I said yes and he resent another one. Great service!

Huge time saver. In my opinion a must have for cutting nut slots. A little flimsy so be careful not to bend.
