I've been using this seat post suspension for about 4 months and it is working well. I set it up according to the instructions, and I'm getting good suspension on the terrible asphalt roads in my area.My experience in setting up the system was simple - just adjust the tension spring plate with the included tool until the seat depresses about 1/3 of the way through its full travel when I'm fully seated on the bike.This type of suspension is going to smooth out minor cracks on the street, which is what I bought it for. It would probably be ok for gravel riding too - but this is obviously not suspension for serious off-road riding..

Bought this seat post to replace the rigid stock post on my wife's new Aventon Level.2 e-bike. The Aventon seat and seat post did not absorb any bumps and made long rides on mixed surfaces very uncomfortable. The SR Suntour SP12 NCX suspension seat post in combination with a new memory foam seat has proven to be the perfect solution. It was quick and easy to install. The seat angle and post spring load adjustments took just a couple of rides to find the best set points. I was concerned initially that the seat post's suggested rider weight range (132 ~ 220 lbs.) might be too high to be able to reduce the spring load low enough for my wife's weight (under 130 lbs.) but that proved not to be an issue.After a couple of weeks and 75+ miles riding, my wife is extremely pleased. I like the seat post's design, build quality, and ease of adjustment. The only design improvement that would make it better would be to add a graduated scale on the post to help reposition the seat height correctly when it is removed for load adjustments.

Everyone of the positive comments that remark the SR Suntour SP12 NCX Bike Suspension Seatpost is a life changing game changer is true.Bought this spring loaded seat post back a few months ago and just put it on yesterday.WHAT A GAME CHANGING SMOOTH RIDE ! !As a heavier guy (240 gordy) I also purchased/installed the heavier 'red spring'. After a few rides and adjustments with the seat post tube tensioner and saddle brackets the ride is literally uncomparable to just a stock seat post and a padded spring loaded seat.TIP REMINDER : The SR Suntour SP12 NCX Bike Suspension Seatpost adds three inches (3") to the seat post so keep that in mind when measuring/ordering.I gladly award a very deserving 5 star BUY recommendation.Your rear end will definetly tell you the cost is well worth it.Keep your rubber side down and ride safe.

this is FANTASTIC! So easy to install, such a soft ride now, it’s better than expected. Works good on ebikes. Nothing negative to say. I really like it. KEEP in mind it does add some height to the frame, a couple inches, so might not be good for short people to be up so high, but it is a great addition to bikes for a much softer ride.

This seat post makes a world of difference in the comfort of a rigid frame road bike. There are some neglected roads in my neighborhood with bone-rattling bumps that I used to dread riding on, but after installing this seat post, I barely feel them at all. It's made riding so much more enjoyable. I just wish I had the option of buying it with a heavier spring instead of having to purchase the upgrade separately.

I used this along with a cloud 9 saddle on my radrunner plus ebike. The difference in comfort from the stock seatpost and saddle combo is night and day. This seat post works great on reducing the bumps when I hit pot holes. Easy installation. I am a heavier rider and exceed the recommended max weight limit for the stock spring but it works well for me.

The cycle path I use in Melbourne is far from smooth and I was getting lower back pain.The shim I ordered to fit the 27.2 post to the 30.0 mm tube was the wrong size, but I was not required to pay for it and I re-ordered. So I had to wait a while to fit it.An amazingly smooth ride now. Even big bumps and dips, I don't feel. The bike does, but I don't.Never written a review before, but I felt compelled to give credit where it's due. This product does what it claims to do and is easy to fit (when you get the correct shim ,if you need one).

I added this to my folding bike, and it completely changed my riding experience. Some of the worst trails in the area now feel smooth. I did require a telescopic seat post to get it to work on this specific bike, since the smaller frame design uses a much longer seat post, but it should fit regular sized bikes without needing this extra part.The installation was dead simple, and I like that you can adjust the stiffness (although, not as easy as some other suspension posts). The dust cover is handy and keeps the suspension post low-key.I have a Brooks C17 Carved saddle mounted to it without any trouble.The initial ride feeling of the suspension is a little strange as it feels as if your handlebar stem is wobbling, but you get used to it after a few rides.I can't honestly think of another upgrade to make a bike as comfortable as this.

I bought this to put on my non suspension fat tire bike. I run my tires hard for road riding onl so it can be bumpy. Yea yea “ let some air out to soften the ride” bla bla. However more air less friction easier to pedal. I weigh 220 lbs and I’ll tell you the thing works like a hot damn. Make riding for me mo bedda. Im happy.
