The Intermediate shaft is located under the hood near the brake booster for 2003 and some 2004 models, but mostly it is located inside the driver side cab near the gas pedal around shin height. You can remove it if you like, but you don’t have to. There’s enough room in there to get them in without removal from the truck.

This kit was installed on one of the truck to compare with installation of similar kit to other truck.This one made from alluminium (as per description). Sizing of bushings is less accurate than other one made from steel.It went to the spot with less force than other one.This one has no hose clamps supplied. But bushings in this one , really needed to be secured with clamps. You need to get clamps by yourself.Initial steering play, almost got eliminated after installation of this set. So it does work. But needs more precise sizing and production. And hose clamps needs to be supplied with it.

After watching a few videos. Many people mentioned these. It took about 10-15min to install on my 2005 dodge ram 2500 and really improved the the steering play. I still have some play but I think that's coming from the steering rack. I highly recommend these if your bushing is gone.
