I have a Boat dock and pier on my property and mounted theses directly to the floor at the corners. these are easy to use and out of the way. If I want to remove the rod holders but leave the mounting base it can happen in under a minute of all 4. I was looking for a flush mount to the dock floor and these were perfect.
