Tengo una interface de sonido Apollo de Universal Audio Firewire, que costó casi cuatro mil euros. Para conectarla al ordenador, evidentemente, necesito una tarjeta de sonido Firewire como ésta. He probado anteriormente otras y me han dado problemas. Esta va como la seda. No tiene errores, ni cortes, ni problemas; es lo mejor que he tenido. La recomiendo para interfaces de audio muy potentes. Es un gran dispositivo.

Besides the usual back 1394 ports there is also the internal 9 in header - my reason for this purchase.

I have a Firewire based semi-professional audio interface that I couldn't use for years because the new Motherboards don't come with Firewire. This PCI card resurrected my favorite audio interface and I couldn't be more happy with it.It installs in minutes and has no complications.

Ich hatte bei einem neuen PC das Problem, dass die alte VIA FireWire Karte alles zum Absturz geführt hat. Mit dieser FireWire Karte funktioniert das System mit meinem MOTU 828 MKII Audio Interface wieder perfekt! Ich bin sehr zufrieden!

ottima scheda pci-e con porta firewire!possedevo un macbook pro con porta nativa firewire800 per collegare la mia scheda audio (una rme fireface 800).il macbook è ormai distrutto, e ho sostituito il mio vecchio portatile con un fisso di ultima generazione (ormai tutti sprovvisti di porta firewire). devo segnalare l'ottima velocità anche superiore al vecchio macbook pro e l'eccellente compatibilità del chipset texas instruments !p.s. se avete un "mac" questa è la firewire che fa per voi

I bought this card to transfer video from my old MiniDV camcorder to my computer.It worked a charm, I had to change the low profile faceplate with the full-size one included in the box, but this was really simple to do, once installed in the desktop, windows 10 (with latest update installed) detected the card and installed the drivers automatically.I was able to transfer the video using WinDV (free) and with Adobe Premiere pro without any hassles.The box also contains a CD with the drivers, but I didn't need these so didn't try installing them.Great value for money.

Easy installation. I used the bigger bracket in my Dell Desktop. Windows 7 Home Premium Detected immediately the board and installed automatically the drivers. I am using the default drivers because it worked. I can import old tapes with my old Pinnacle Studio 15.

That card works great on My Windows 10 x64 box (version 10.0.17134.165 as of today). Plug&Play, Windows detected it in a heartbeat (no manual driver installation required). I am running my Motu Ultralite Mk3 Hybrid 24 bit/192 kHz sound card with it all day long (firewire 400 port) and it is rock-solid.

Warning for windows 10 users: Windows firewire drivers are broken and this doesn't fix that. You can use this to get firewire 400 working with some effort but 800 doesn't work at all.

After getting a new computer my motherboard has no 1394 at all not even on the I/o pins and after a long search about this kind of card i given a go i got this "used" by amazon it was like brand new probably a return or something for half of the price was worth it.Pros:Easy to installPrice (When used) still worth it at full priceWork perfectly with Focusrite Product (Own: Saffire Le)Work on windows 10 without any problemsCons:None so farA great product if you really need firewire on a new computer!

Purchased this for Audio Production use. Running a custom built pc. OS Windows 8.1, connected to an Asrock z87 motherboard, Processor i7-4790k. I have a Digidesign 003 console connected through FW400 to it and a Glyph External Hard drive connected through FW800.Have had absolutely no problems with it so far. Transfering data back and forth to the Harddrive is fast, using the 003 as my sound device in Windows works flawlessly, and as well using both devices in Pro Tools 11.2 have been great. No issues as of yet (had it since August.)As recommended by a lot of the other reviews I didn't use the included drivers disk and just relied on windows quick an easy setup. It was seamless and done by the time the computer had booted to desktop.
