My Dell laptop has a slide to cover the camera. But it does not cover the light. So, if camera is on & you wish to go off camera, a blinding light shines in your eyes. The "window" is large enough to cover camera & light, but does not block / cover the microphone. It's really thin, so laptop closes completely. Adhesive is sticky enough so that the unit doesn't move around or fall off; but it's not so sticky that it cannot be removed easily without leaving gunk or pieces behind.

I installed on a Dell XPS 9370 and can confirm it works like a charm. This camera cover fits right over my cameras with ease and still allows for video chatting should I need to use it.I recommend!
