These are the right ones. The soft silicone fingers hold well. Other brands are hard plastic, and while they work ok, it's not the best. This one is.

This soldering aid is nice to have as an option. Most of my soldering is not splicing wire to wire. When it is, they often aren't both long enough ir stick out far enough to make this tool useful. However, for the tasks this was designed to perform, it is great.I think the most awesome thing is that the wire isn't being pinched between the teeth of a clamp. I have uglied up my fair share of 20+ ga wire with steel clamps. I actually wish this tool were a bit more flexible in its functionality. It does give me the idea of silicone tipped clamps on the end of articulating arms. I have used shrink tube over the steel clamps to limited and inconsistent effect. But...Anyhow, this is a good tool. Though it only intermittently serves my purposes, I am glad to have it for when it can.

If you have ever tried soldering wires and felt like you needed 3 or 4 hands, you will appreciate these stands. They are made of silicone so they are resistant to heat and also any dripped solder will not stick to them. They feature multiple "slots" for wire holding. You receive 2 of them in the package which makes it an even better deal for an already low price. These are well deserving of 5 stars for quality and value.
