My dog can’t chew through them and I cut it in half . He just walks around with it and burrys it in blankets. I also noticed there’s a chicken byproduct in it, which is allergic toI tried to return it, and I was deniedVery expensive product! Not impressed

Really cleans my dogs teeth and freshens breath. Certain dogs need to be watched as some dogs might take chunks off of the chew and swallow.

my dogs absolutely love these and it takes them a while to chew it, which is great, and in my honest opinion is probably doing a better job than a quick greeny chewy that they think of more of a snackthis thing is really good in my opinion

I gave a lower star rating for value for money because they are pricey but you can see that they do work, they cause the the enzyme action that they advertise and the dogs do like them. They do take time to chew and that is a plus also. I would not leave pets alone when giving it to them though as with any treats that can cause choking. Highly recommend for dental cleaning and breath.

Will never give my dog one of these again. Product unwrapped in my border terrier stomach and with great difficulty managed to get and vomit it up. The product was very sticky to the touch. I'm just relieved it didn't enter her intestines. Product should be withdrawn from market- very dangerous.

We got samples of these at the vets office, and I immediately came home and bought more off of Amazon. My older rescue dog has started to get "old man breath," and has that semi permanent stank about his mouth. He lets me brush his teeth, and gets the recommended amount of bones, water enzyme additives, and all of the other good junk that our vet throws at us (that by the way works great for our younger dog), but it just didn't make any sort of dent in Jake's stinky breath - and this broke his heart, because he's one of those dogs that loves to "give kisses."He really liked these, though, and views them as a great treat. They get their "chewys" every morning before I leave for work, and I've noticed a marked change in his breath. It's actually fresh, and his teeth are whiter than I have ever been able to get them with the dog toothbrush and tooth paste. He gets to have his kisses again, and seems happier and healthier overall. Unlike most rawhide type chews, this doesn't upset my boys' sensitive stomachs at all, and keeps them both busy for about 20 minutes while they work through them. As I've got two dogs and give them each one a day, it's roughly $30/month for the supply, but it is TOTALLY worth it.

About five years ago, we adopted a 6 year old chihauhau/pug/pekinese/guinea pig (just kidding) mix that had terrible teeth. After having them cleaned by the vet under anesthesia (sp??), the vet recommended we give him this brand of chewies to help keep those expensively-cleaned choppers shiney.I am not sure exactly what is different about these than other brands, but they sure seem to do the trick. We have had dogs in the past that used cheaper brands of various chewies, and I don't think they actually did much as far as really keeping the teeth clean. Five years later, this dog's teeth are still nice and tidy and he has not had to have them re-cleaned by the vet. (And if I remember right, it was almost 300 bucks to have him do it!)Though the dog mentioned could possibly use the smaller chews, we have 2 other dogs (a border terrier mix and a Walker coonhound/retriever mix), and when I get this size, it seems they can all share one bag and do okay.I recommend these if you have a dog with tartar problems specifically, but really, these seem to do a nice job keeping any dogs teeth free of ick!(Side note-- the chihauhau mix that I spoke of used to have seizures now and then-- maybe 5 or 6 a year-- that the vet could not find a cause for. Since having his teeth cleaned, he has had only 3 seizures in the last 5 years. I can't say for sure that his dental hygiene played a part in this, but it does seem a strange coincidence!)
