Use steps:

The bottoms of the tray with holes in them are warped and if the distance between the water and the bottom of the tray is important to your seed germinination then these will not do. Also, the green is very translucent, so if your seeds are germinating and creating roots, you need to paint them black. The holes in the top tray are good for peas and even kale seeds but not for lettuce.
