Is not what I was looking for. Exist 2 different S1 riser bases as I could see, and this one don't open the front for cut wood as I needed. This one only allows more space for you use the rotary tool...Again, misleading product ads and It does not have doors as I expected for use the conveyor...Spend the double of money ordering the "conveyor" riser now. Frustrating.

Base works great if you are engraving larger objects but if you are looking to add the conveyor system you will need to order the base through Xtool's website since that base is not available through Amazon. Xtool reached out and was great about getting the right base exchanged for me!

*Update to this review* - Xtool customer service reached out and provided some clarification as to why this base is different from the one on their site. In short, Amazon doesn’t permit the riser that opens up, so for Amazon sales they have to sell the riser base that does not open up to support the conveyor system. They have offered to exchange the riser base out for me, but more importantly updated their listing to clarify that this riser doesn’t support the conveyor system. All in all I am pleased with the performance of the RA2 and the S1 laser engraver, it really works great, is easy to use, and the support and resources in the XCS software are fantastic. Given the quality of the bundle, how well the S1 machine works, and the high level of customer service I am upgrading my review to 5 stars.I purchased the S1 laser bundle with the air assist, honeycomb, riser, and RA2, and had intentions of purchasing the automatic conveyor system in the near future. The Xtools website ONLY shows a riser that opens on the front and back and supports the conveyor feed system. This riser is a different riser that does not open on the front and back. This feels rather dishonest as there is vague product information on the listing, but when you visit the Xtools website they only show a riser that is different from this one. If this doesn’t support the conveyor system they need to be clear and state that this riser doesn’t support the conveyor and doesn’t open to allow access to the front and rear of the compartment. It’s one thing if they stated there are two different risers for the S1, but they don’t. Feels very much like a bait and switch, and for $520 the riser should support the conveyor system.

Currently using this base but I did end up getting the other base listed on the xTool official site to go with my conveyor system. Measuring up the risers I will say this one is more solid and offers more collateral protection from laser penetration. If you don't plan to use the conveyor system this is a smash and grab bundle with the RA2 attachment.Previously I rated 2 stars before I understood where it makes sense to have both risers for retail. I plan to use this for a second S1.Fortunately I was able to get in touch with xTool support pretty dang easily and they said they would make description adjustments to this listing to classify the difference in risers.Finally I'm putting this back to 5 stars for support and this bundle just works, no issues with it directly after over a dozen different rotary tests and another 2 for regular jobs with just the honeycomb inside the riser.

This riser base is not compatible with the conveyor. They will allow you to exchange it and that requires you to contact them and get shipping information and ship it back to them, which worked out well for me... BUT, I would rather just buy directly from them and get the one that opens from the beginning. I don't believe Amazon can sell the one that opens because of the danger from having an open base with a laser.
