A fair number of mass-produced factory guitars have 12" radius fretboards. As a tech I repair acoustics and didn't have this one, so I ordered it. It arrived promptly, and was immediately put to use on a OOO acoustic, badly in need of a neck reset. Its fretboard extension had bent upwards because of string tension, and through heat was bent downwards, but fret-buzz occurred from fret 13 onwards. Frets 13 and up were removed, and using this 12" radius block the fretboard was levelled and new frets installed.

Don’t get it. I think I saw mixed reviews about these and I’m gonna add to the bad ones- the one I got is NOT cut to spec.Spend the extra money on StewMac or something better than this

I ran the block over the neck, and it was super smooth. Love it.

The product arrived promptly. However the radius was not uniform, flattening out on one edge on the one side of the block. The other side of the block however did seem to have the corrrect radius.

This product was not built to the specifications advertised. It is not 12" radius block, at no section of this radius block that I recieved was the radius of the block actually 12". The radius cut in was also askew on the block, so not only would using this block result in an unusuable radius on the neck of a guitar or bass, but even if it was actually a 12" radius, it would sand the neck crooked as when the radius is matched over the neck, the block itself would be sitting a few degrees off parrallell. Using the block as I recieved it would have resulted in a crooked fretboard with dead/mute spots all over the place at random.Would not recommend anyone buy this product for any reason.

The product was exactly what I was looking for. It did exactly as expected and it was cheaper than going to websites like StewMac.

It's usable, but not great. The radius is only accurate from the center of block to about 1/2" from the edge. It's barely wide enough for my Les Paul fretboard. The fillets on each side of the block do not match, which makes the grip off center, but that's mostly a cosmetic issue. All in all, it works fine, but I'd recommend just spending the extra few bucks for a radius block from StewMac.

une cale à radius, c'est un outil très technique en général, en profilé alu typiquement, long de 30 cm ou plus ; ce modèle tout simple en bois, court (13 cm) est proposé à prix plancher ; on peut faire du bon job avec, si on a un peu d'expérience....

here on time and worked as advertised. if you order this sanding radius block but can't find any self adhesive sand paper just get some elmer's rubber cement to stick your sand paper on with. sticks in 10 minutes or less and even if you leave the sand paper on for days it peels off easily leaving a residue that rubs off with your fingers.
