My dog is on a restricted diet, no chicken or wheat, so these work for him. They are on the expensive side and he takes many pills per day, so I lay the pill pockets on their side and slice into many pieces and keep them in a ziplock bag to keep them soft. He's not terribly picky so when I go to give his pills I take a slice of pill pocket and press flat between thumb and index finger for a few seconds to warm and make it squishier and then wrap around the pull or capsule and kinda squish it gently to mostly cover the pill, and hand it to him and he gulps it down. I used to use American cheese but he likes these better.

They are stiff no pocket in them for pills. When you try to form it it just crumbles in your hand.Very disappointed in product. I Don’t recommend!

Reading the packaging I thought I would receive 20 individually wrappy treats that I could hide pills in. You actually receive ten individually wrapped treats which you break in half, use one half today and hope the second half is still soft enough tomorrow to hide another pill. The treats do not have a hollowed out place for medicine placement and instead have a softer center you are supposed to shove your pill into. They are probably fine for pills, but my dog has to take small capsules which are sometimes not sufficiently sturdy to be pressed into the "soft" center. I have to first use an implement to create a hollow into which I can insert the capsule. My first day I grabbed the first pointy implement I found (a steak knife - Yes, I know but it was 5AM and my brain was not yet up to operating speed) and promptly stabbed my finger. Worse yet, I could not get to the band aids without waking up my wife and she does not like to be awakened at 5AM. Fortunately I had minor surgery recently and still had sterile gauze and paper tape lieing around so I did not have to disturb my wife. The good news is my dog loves these treats. I had been wrapping his medicine in cheese and that worked for about 2 1/2 months, but he then became reluctant to take his medicine. So far he has gobbled these down without complaint.

My dog needed something tasty to hide her meds in. These did the trick. The texture didn’t feel weird to me and she really liked them. They came individually wrapped and fresh. Quality is everything when it comes to picky dogs. Not to chewy and very effective.

unfortunately my boys life has been cut shortso i can’t say if it works long term.but in the week he took it he loved them and was very happy! soft and made him easily take pills in!if my boy could’ve live longer than a year and for as long as his average breed expectancy, we would’ve been very loyal to these pill pops 🕊️

These worked very well after my hound surgically removed her pills from her food before eating. The honey flavored one works slightly better as they are softer and mould around the pill easier and more securely. I was able to push the pill into half a treat without having to make a hole first, which again makes the extra softness/moistness of this specific flavor more appealing. All the flavors taste good to the dog, but this one is more convenient for the owner. Have bought multiple times already.

I stopped ordering these because they jacked up the price and I could find them cheaper elsewhere. The quality control is a bit hit/miss. Sometimes they pockets are quite dry and you have exert a bit of effort to make them work, but most of the time they are soft and easy. You just push the pill into the centre and pinch it shut. My dog takes gabapentin, and I can actually shove 2 pills into 1 pocket. The packaging is really dumb. Like, why are you packaging 2 together? Pack them individually or just leave them loose. You end up with a single that just sits around getting dry because you can't close it after you open the individual packaging. I just kind of fold the plastic and shove it into the pill container which seems to work but is a bit of a hassle. Unsure why they want me to rate the flavour, I'm not eating them. My dog eats them fine, but I have a lab and she will anything except for lettuce, and even lettuce if it has some dressing on it. The scent is fine, not overpowering, not that it really matters much to me. The key points, will my dog eat it? yes. Can you stick pills inside? yes. Is it a good deal? Not anymore. I won't pay more than $10/bag, but there was a point when they were $7.99. I think they are like ~$15 as I write this.

The chicken pill pops are no good for pills. There is no premade hole and they crumble to pieces when you try to make a hole and push a pill in. Also individually wrapping each one is a little excessive and bad for the environment. The peanut butter pill pops smell amazing and work well. They don't have a premade hole but I use a small pair of scissors to make a hole and I can get the pill in. The peanut butter flavor is soft enough to work, the other flavors are hard and crumbly. I prefer this brand because they are half the calories of regular pill pockets, which is important for long term meds. I wish you could get more in a a bag. My dog needs pills twice a day so I need to buy three bags for a month supply. A bulk option would be nice. Also it's sad that each one is individually wrapped, I do feel bad for that impact on the environment.

I am not a fan of this product it is not easily formable around the capsule, it just crumbles apart making it hard to hide for stubborn dogs. I am also not a fan of the packaging the pockets come in the bigger back then they are wrapped again in another plastic layer that I cant seem to get open easily. I have to use scissors to get in to them. The second one in the same pack would dry out when giving a second pill later in the day.

When these are soft and pliable like they're supposed to be these are a god send! I have a six yr old sheltie that has a very rare form of nasal cancer so needless to say he is taking a few pills several times a day. This product makes it so easy to put several small pills in one pouch so I'm able to give multiple pills at once in one dose rather then sturggling to get pills after pill down the poor guys throat. The downside to this product is occasionally you get a bag where the punches are crumbly and difficult to work with. You can rub them around in your hands for a bit...which makes it better, however they're not as good as when they're the way they're meant to be.

GARLIC, like other members of the Allium family, contain compounds called disulfides and thiosulphates which can be TOXIC CATS AND DOGS if ingested. The ingestion OF GARLIC CAUSES CONDITIONS called hemolytic anemia, Heinz body anemia, and methemoglobinemia which are all manifestation of damage to red blood cells. Essentially, the COMPOUNDS IN GARLIC can CAUSE THE RED BLOOD CELLS circulating through your pet’s body to become VERY FRAGILE AND BURST.How Much Garlic is Toxic to Pets?“From a toxicity perspective, GARLIC IS APPROXIMATELY 5 TIMES MORE CONCENTRATED THAN ONIONS,” says Dr. Ahna Brutlag, a board-certified veterinary toxicologist and director of veterinary services at Pet Poison Helpline.****Consider the rule of thumb when it comes to onion toxicity: Consumption of as little as 5 g/kg of onions in cats or 15 to 30 g/kg in dogs has resulted in clinically important red blood cell damage. According to scientific studies, ONION TOXICOSIS is consistently noted in animals that INGEST MORE THAN 0.5% OF THEIR BODY WEIGHT IN ONIONS at one time.**********Since GARLIC IS MORE CONCENTRATED than an onion, an even smaller ingested amount could lead to toxicosis—as little as ONE CLOVE OF GARLIC CAN LEAD TO TOXICITY IN CATS and small dogs.*********So basically don't assume your already likely compromised (since on meds) pet is being difficult if they refuse to eat this too like both my cats' did since maybe they just figured out this ingredient was included before I did.Why is this even being sold in Canada and in any way a result listed in cat treat searches?!IRRESPONSIBLE both the manufacturers and Amazon as a direct retailer of delicious toxicity.Ps. While vomiting and diarrhea may occur within one day, it may take several days to a week after your pet eats garlic for symptoms of anemia to appear. While mass consumption of garlic puts pets at high risk, your pet can also become poisoned after chronic ingestion of small amounts of garlic over a period of time.

First, I have been using this product for over a year, and I was getting 3-5 packages delivered monthly on the Subscribe and save program. My aging dog needs pills to treat a demylenating condition (like MS), plus he needs a pill for his thyroid and a pill for his liver enzymes. I have him on a natural diet and don't like to give him treats with ingredients I'm not sure of, but pliable pill treat covers are necessary because he is an expert at finding pills in real food. So for a good long time, these were perfect. I could break them apart and mold them around the various sized pills and managed to use only one little packet plus a piece of another packet per day and deliver a total of 11 pills a day. In over a year, I only had one or two packets that were dry and crumbly. Then a couple of months ago, one of three were dry. The next month, two of the three were dry. They are still usable but it takes me about 3 packets a day to effectively hide the same number of pills. This month, all three were dry. They break into crumbs and it takes at least twice as much, and if a big pill is wrapped too large, he tries to chew and finds the liver enzyme pill. So, I have now cancelled my monthly subscription and changed to a new brand which is sadly even less natural than these, but soft and pliable so far.
