The burr set works very well. I had to grind down some stel plate and the bits did the job in no time.

Made from tungsten a very hard material that will outlast high speed steel burs so it makes more economic sense to purchase this type of bur, better value for the money.

These seem to be on the higher end of offshore tooling but a little deceiving as they are phsically small. Like quarter inch shank and quarter inch tooling at the end

For the price i was honestly sceptical these would hold up to working on steel but i was so wrong. I had some edges to clean up from some maching and welding work put one of these bits in my die grinder and it chomped away at it with no problem at all didnt break any teeth and still feels sharp.More than happy :-)

I have the larger 1/4" shaft set of solid carbide burrs from this same company that I have been happy with, and needed a smaller set for some finer work I'm doing. I have only had these a couple of weeks, so I cannot comment on durability/longevity.The positive - they cut very fast. I have mostly used them on zinc, pewter and aluminum castings, and man do the filings fly. I have used them on one low-medium grade steel item made from untempered 3/8" plate, and they also did nicely on it. So far, no signs of wear on the cutting edges under magnification.I was about to give them a crap review for balance, only to discover it was my fairly new Dremel that is the problem. I checked by chucking several in my old high-end made in West Germany flex shaft tool that I have owned since the early 1980's. The hand piece has 5 roller bearings ( for comparison, a Foredom flex shaft hand piece has 2). I was confident if there was wobble it would be in the carbide burr and not the rotary tool. All the wobble disappeared. So boo to Dremel and thumbs up for the burrs.I am using these on pretty soft metal, so I cannot say how they would hold up if one were cutting on steel a lot. If I find they wear quicker than I expect I will come back and edit this. For a set of nicely made and quick cutting solid carbide burrs this price is hard to beat. They are double cut, so produce an aggressive cut and therefore not the smoothest finish. If you need a smooth finish from a burr you would need to follow up with single cut burrs.Edit: After a few months using these, I find that they can give a very smooth surface as long as the speed of the burr is kept up. More rpm's = more passes of the cutting surface over the same spot which gives a smoother finish. Also - I see my public profile has me listed as a Vines Voice reviewer. I am not. Trying to get Amazon to remove that since I cannot edit it out. I did buy these myself.Edit - 2024 still in use, still performing well. No visible wear on the burrs.

Very useful in doing custom steel fabrication. Eats stainless steel or mild steel with no issue. I have to make a 1 inch hole on 3/8 thick stainless steel where the only access is a hand drill or a plasma cutter. Made the hole using the plasma cutter and finished it up with this burr attached to a dremmel. Got the job done a whole lot faster and easier. Burr still looks like new after several use.

Updated review. I had previously posted a review describing a failed bit, and lack of reponse to email from support. After posting on Amazon, Taita reached out within a day or two and sent a replacement set which arrived quickly. Apparently the original email went to the spam foilder, but they seem to take Amazon reviews pretty seriously. So 5 stars for customer support as long as it's via Amazon.I used a few other bits in the interim with no issues, and they performed well. Can't explain why the one bit failed (bent over, folded like butter when using it). Speculating, but if the collet had worked loose and caused friction heating of the shank, it could have softened. However there's no heat marks on the shank of the failed bit and the cooled steel cannot be bent easily. In order to write a more fair review, I took another bit, tightened it up real good, and used it fairly aggressively to carve up a chunk of 1/4 steel with some big old weld beads on it. The bit performed quite well so I'll update the product plus support to 4 stars overall.
