Nice little kit and perfect size for the patio. Bags could have a better structure but the trellis is very nice

These are nice simple cages for vining plants. They assemble easily, and while the parts are plastic, they’re a fairly thick plastic, so the assembled cage is actually pretty sturdy. The cages are 49 inches tall, and 11 inches square. The grow bags, however, are pretty thin, so I’m not sure how durable they’ll be. They are also 11 inches square, and only 12 inches deep, so while you might think the nice tall cage would be good for growing something like tomatoes, the grow bag really isn’t big enough to accommodate them. The cage/bag combos would certainly be fine for a vining ornamental plant like an ivy or something similar. The cages would be great without the grow bags though, so you, could certainly use them in larger pots, or directly in your garden bed.My main interest is in growing vegetables, so I’m going to try cucumbers in the bags with the cages and will update this review with my results as we get further into the growing season.UPDATE: After one growing season, I have to lower this to three stars. The cages work pretty well for supporting plants, but we live in an area with a good bit of wind, and the movement of the plants in the wind causes the cages to come apart. None of them has broken, but they fail to support the plants and it’s very difficult to get them back together with the plant inside. It’s a nice idea to be able to take them apart for storage, but I ended up gluing them together. If you have them in a sheltered area, they should be fine.
