THESE ARE NOT GUITAR NUT FILES - THEY ARE - TIP CLEANER USED FOR CLEANER DRILL . THAT IS WHAT IT SAYS ON THE BACK OF THE HOLDER . THEY DO NOT WORK ON GUITAR NUT MATERIAL AT ALL . THIS IS FAULTS SAYING THEY ARE FOR GUITAR NUT FILES . I WILL BE SENDING THEM BACK .

These are strange, they're tip cleaners, which as another reviewer said, is printed right on the case. The numbers don't correspond to a nut slot or string size, so you actually need a micrometer to measure the string and the "file". It does kinda work on nut slots, so if you have a material that's not too hard and you only need touchups, this might do the trick. If you're a luthier or anything close to it, spend a little more and get real files.

They do the job for rought slotting and even for precision jobs but they need to be removed from their casing to be used properly, done easilly with a pair of cutters.
