for a 07 pontiac g5, shaft not as well made as original. my local carquest wanted over 170+tx .telescopic was hard to move at first but eventually freed up before installing.original shaft still moves very smoothly as compared to the replacement.i think all these shafts are coming out of same factory as they all look identical.no warranty specified but i doubt it will last as long as the original shaft.problem with original shaft was the outer u-joint seized up.if this fails prematurely i plan on replacing the outer u-joint, the part that actually fails, on the original shaft with the inner u-joint from this replacement shaft.gm does not make and is impossible to find an oe intermediate shaft.many videos on removing the intermediate shaft but rust on the external shaft made it more difficult to remove but an air hammer did help in removing it

We replaced it last year in my cobalt and are now being told that it needs to be replaced again and the wheel is grinding when brakes are applied. Wish it lasted longer than a year

Lots of play in the telescopic part, makes it feel like the inner tie rods are bad. I don’t know if this is normal for these shafts but it’s a little concerning.

Do not purchase this item part is very cheaply made, this shaft snapped while I was driving no warning no noises just snapped thank god I wasn’t diving fast or I could of been in a serious accident. Ended up costing me 1500.00 to tow from side of road and have the dealer repair it with the proper shaft and had to replace the steering coil , the shaft damaged it too
