Honestly did not expect this to be this high quality and innovative. Heats up to 350C in a matter of seconds which is unreal. Has a motion sensor built into the the wond so when you place it into it's dock, it will go into sleep mode and cool off. Only thing I wish i could change is the extremely loud beep it makes, would like it if it were more quiet, but other than that this works beautifully and I'd recommend this to anyone doing any kind of soldering or hot air work.

I didn't expect much for the price, but so far I have used it a few times and and it works great for removing small SMDs. Gets hot very fast, if you haven't used hot air for soldering be careful, you will melt way more than intended.

I picked this up to dabble with some hot air reflow work for soldering. It's alright, the unit works and does the job for soldering smaller electronics when using flux and pre-tinning. My only complain is that the fan sounds like it's grinding a bit when in use as if it's clipping the plastic housing from the inside. It doesn't appear to be a problem as of yet but I'd expect it to be better than that. All it in all, it seems good enough for basic solder work and the temperature and fan control works ok.

Highly recommend this unit. Price was right and worked perfectly. I’ve re-flowed four XBox 360 machines now and successfully fixed the RRD.

Its been fun taking these off. You need at least 450c and fan 6 to see any result. Love it overall

Does a very good job. Better than the $600 unit my work has.

This product is a great tool for someone who just needs to use it occasionally and doesn't care that it barely gets hot enough to remove a big chip. I don't want to say too much negative on it bc for the price it's an awesome product.

This heat gun works as described from spec. Heat up time seems quick, also self cool down mode. I also think it is easy to use.

I was using a crafting heat gun that blows max heat with no adjustment or sensor and a very wide blast area. So it's replacement needed to be really portable so I can work on bikes, cars and furnaces -- it is actually quite portable. I didn't think I'd like the stand with the magnet sensor shutoff, but I actually really love it. The stand is heavy, so it holds its position and keeps the tip from bouncing around when it's still blazing hot. Also putting the blower in the stand initiates a cool down before the fan stops. The controls are pretty easy, although I don't use it enough to remember how to change the settings. I love that it has a calibration too. But the nicest thing is setting the temperature to exactly what I need -- 160F for low temperature molding plastic -- putting the tip right up to the target, and not having to worry about burning and melting everything around it.

Throwing down five stars so far, after a couple of weeks of use. The product arrived safely packaged and the unboxing was uneventful. All of the pieces seemed solid, no obvious damage, all the accessories were included and well packed. The included documentation was largely Chinese, but there was some English, and it's fairly intuitive. This thing hits temperature very fast. The temperature seems accurate, but there are a lot of variables there -- distance from the nozzle, how fast the blower is operating, and so on. Know that there will be some variation, and you're in a good place. It comes with a few nozzle sizes, which is helpful. Securing them is slightly sketchy, it's friction based rather than locking into place. Handy if they're hot and you want to flick one off, less handy if it knocks into something. The controls seem more complicated than necessary for the size of the control station, you have to do some magic button incantations to change blower speed instead of temperature. That said, it's not terrible, and it's responsive. The included stand doubles as a safety, so when you set the wand on the station, it will power off and start to cool down.Long story short, is it perfect? No, there are obviously some quibbles. If this is your first station, the tradeoffs are minor compared to the price you're paying. I haven't noticed any obvious defects so far, and it's doing what I need it to do. It also hasn't burned a hole in my workbench, floor, or parts. I'll update if anything goes wrong.
