Nice looking hitch for its rating being aluminum. Haven’t pulled our ocean boat with it yet so time will tell.

This hitch is fantastic. It’s well a well made attractive piece of equipment. It tows all my trailers and switching between the balls and drop level is quick and easy. I love this hitch!

I know this is just a hitch and a very practical and functional item, but it is truly a work of art. The quality of machining and finishing of every component of this adjustable hitch is perfect. It is made up of two main components, the shank and the ball head with some pin assemblies to hold it all together.First the shank. The L shaped shank is intended for a 2” receiver and can be used in either vertical direction to suit the height of the vehicle vs the height of whatever you are towing. This is perfect for situations like mine where I tow with my van as well as a full sized pickup. The shank has two insertion depths for the receiver which again adds to its flexibility. On the opposite leg of the shank there are 6 holes at 1” spacing to allow for height adjustment along the shank. Since the locking pin unit uses 2 pins this gives you 5 different heights you can use spanning 5” total, even though there are 6” of hols. Coupled with the ability to invert the shank you get 10 total positions covering 10” of height.The ball head has a C shaped base that slides along grooves in the shank giving very positive engagement. It is double sided and can be inverted to have the side you need facing up. One side has a 2” ball rated at 12,500 pounds towing and 1,250 lbs tongue weight and the other a 2-5/16” ball rated for 21,500 lbs towing and 2,150 lbs tongue weight. Only odd thing here for me is that it is not symmetrical top and bottom. The 2” side is flat while the 2-5/16 has a step up. I assume this is perhaps to handle the stress in this orientation. Doesn’t really matter anyway, this thing is a beast. My truck isn’t even rated as high as either of these. Once you have the side you need at the height you want it is time for the locking pins.The first locking pin is for the shank to the receiver. This is a single chrome pin that has a grooved fixed head at one end and a locking cap on the other. The lock uses a curved type key (of which you get 6) that rotates the inner barrel of the lock assembly. Then you just simply pull it off. On this end of the pin is also a thick o-ring that you can use to close up any gaps between it and the received to minimize rattle. The inside of the locking barrel also has an o-ring to keep the elements out. Further protection is given by a tethered rubber cap that covers up the lock barrel. Very nice. To lock the pin simply put the lock barrel back on and turn the key. Can’t get any easier than that.The other lock is the double pin arrangement for the head to the shank. This uses the same type of lock cylinder and mechanism but only on one of the two pins, which is all you really need to keep it secure. The second pin is for strength of the assembly. The only thing missing, and my only gripe, is that the lock barrel on this assembly has no protective cap. This is the only thing that keeps this hitch from being absolutely perfect. However, it is such a minor thing I can forgive it.Overall this is an amazingly practical work of art, that is hugely flexible and highly capable to tow just about anything. As long as your vehicle can support it.

Existing hitch offers only one ball size choice, must purchase, store, and allocate time and effort to install/uninstall every time different ball size required.
