Your cart is empty.The Astor Pneumatic 4550A Air Operated Paint Shaker w/Oversized Clamps features a patent pending orbital drive mechanism that provides quieter and faster operation and is designed for shaking paints and liquids. It will shake round or square containers from a pint to a gallon container and can accommodate larger European paint containers. The air motor makes this a versatile tool for places working with flammable liquids and gives it a range of uses including fabrication, wood working, cabinet and body shops, marine, industrial and aviation markets. This shaker is constructed to have quieter and faster operation, is equipped with improved clamps and is built to last. The fully adjustable locking rubber coated clamps offer increased grip while shaking and will accommodate pints, quarts and gallons. This tool includes the oiler. SPECIFICATIONS: Paint can size (Min. and Max.): 8 pint - 1 gallon round cans. Shakes: 1400 cycles per minute. Air consumption: 1.35 CFM - 1.5CFM, Recommended shake time: 1.5 minutes, Operating pressure ranges: 90 to 120psi at inlet.

Does a great job & because it runs off compressed air , the valve allows you to choose a soft /med. or strong shake ; great for smaller ,more fragile containers

Finally set this up in my shopa s I have lots of things to paint. Did not even last through one can of paint air motor sticks all the time and now does not run at all. So basically junk to me. Missed my return window!

It shakes paint cans as intended.Be advised of this: It consumes a high flow of air. Need a big compressor to feed it. I have an average compressor, and I have to stop the shaker to let the compressor refill a few times.Also, it requires solid clamping to a stable and heavy table, or else it will shake off that support as much as the paint.

Secured it to my main table made from 4x4's using lags. Creates quite a rattle and the paint cans get looser the longer they go. Using the recommended shake times work fine, but don't let it go longer or you might lose a can.Setup was easy, but I am worried about the acrylic oil cylinder breaking one day. I made sure to install this unit so the air ingress is facing away from traffic areas and I ensured the hose is attached in as stress free a way as possible. I'm not sure how I could replace that part if it broke.

We use this to mix Cerakote ..... unbelievable.... I now use less as it mixes it properly.
