Would be nice if it came with more than one tip but very nice. I been using it about a week. I am very happy with it sofar. Replacement tips are about 5 times the cost of a T12 so keep that in mind if you want more. Not much variety in tips either. Heats fast! The sleep feature is really nice. It doesn't sleep reliably till it spends a few days in the cradle because the foam keeps it centered but be patient it will squish down.

I don’t really like to disparage products but some products I feel like it’s a civil duty to say something. This was working well for the first 30 minutes - I tinned 2 wires and easily soldered them together. I then dialled up 480 and the wound it down to 100 degrees C. Then strangely it showed H-E which according to the manual means the soldering tip is not present ie it’s an open circuit. No button presses afterwards or waiting would resolve it. I tried many times removing and inserting the tip. So it looked like it was going to be good then it broke down doing what a user is able to do. So no I cannot recommend this product as good for what I was hoping to use it for. It’s back to my trusty brute force directly connected to AC mains soldering iron then. It has not stopped working in over 25 years …

Instead of having the soldering iron, the power supply, stand, and sponge as separate items everything is included in this all the one solder station. It's very quick to plug in and place a soldering iron in its stand while you wait for the iron heat up to the desired temperature. Great for quick soldering tasks without having to set up a whole production just to make a couple solder joints.

This heats up very quickly with a 100℃~480℃ range. Easy digital temperature control either in °C or °F. The tip is well suited for SMD rework. It's light weight with an ergonomic hold.It can either be used as a station iron or as a portable iron in a service person's tool-kit.The operating V range is 110V to 240V 50-60Hz - which is very good.Sleep mode and Temp compensation features are good value-add features. Sleep-mode will prolong the element/tip life.

This is a neat unit, ideal for soldering of small components. I particularly appreciate the size of the “pencil” as it makes it easier to get into crowded circuit boards. It achieves the preselected temperature very quickly and seems to maintain it easily. It uses C210 type tips which are available from multiple sources so replacements in a variety of tip sizes are available, although the supplied tip is a good starting point. The stand has a series of 4 holes across the top for storing other tips and a brass wire tip cleaner. There are also slots in the stand to aid in the removal of hot tips. Looking forward to getting much more use out of this.
