I use it for the job; I'm a welder by trade and that rotary tool, fitted with a cheap tungsten sharpener costs much less than a dedicated tungsten sharpener, yet is lightweight, USB-C compatible and durable! Haven't dropped it on a concrete floor yet, but I did drop the backpack I put it in in muddy water by accident, once, and though the bearing sounds like it rusted a certain amount, it still goes back to grinding tungsten when it is needed. Also, the fact that for five minutes it remembers the gear you put it on is certainly a plus!

I have had 2 higher end Dremels stop working without warning irdamgedobe to themin the last 4 years,so I am done with them as they don't offer any help. I figured why not try something less expensive so I have this rotary tool a try and I am very happy with its performance so far, and the cordless feature is very convenient. It charges fast and keeps its charge for a while. I am pleased.

Cordless is the way to go. So far it's a strong motor with a long lasting battery. My only complaint is the accessories. Cheaply made and only a couple do what they're supposed to. I had to go buy some new ones.

It works... but only just.First, I got this last year in december, so I've had it for 11 months, and I've used it a fair amount, for various small tasks working on my 3d printers and such. The main issues are:1) it doesnt hold a charge any more, so you only get a few minutes run time, and cant run off the cord. Easy enough to fix if you know electronics as it appears to be 2x 18650's inside, not balanced so no wonder.2) the chuck has a tendancy to cam the lock out a little, jamming up everything and making the switch to turn the tool on/off no longer work, until you take it apart and unjam everything. Its simply not a stiff enough plastic, and makes it infuriating to use, as you cant get the bits tight without this happening. So yeah, for some very light uses once or twice this will work, if you expect an actual tool that will last a decent amount of time before you replace it (in my eyes, tools should last at least a few years, of decent use, heck my red power tools are going on 10+ years and the original batteries still work great, with lower capacity but still). This tool isnt that, its cheap.Edit: After posting, the seller reached out to let me know this has a 2 year warranty, and without any further questions sent a new unit. It obviously works perfectly, so I've upped this to 4 stars, and will come back if the new one also fails in the same way.

Bought this as my son had jammed the chuck on my Dremel (write off). Decided Dremels were expensive and wanted a battery one anyway. Saw these with good reviews so bought it. Charged it fully before use, have only used it for removing plastic from model figures so far. Its easy to hold with the on/off switch falling below your index finger. The speed control is easy to use with a + and - button and 4 lights to show speeds. There's a ring at the bottom of the tool so it cn to hung up. The light has a collar which fits to the front, so can be used or not. It has a USB C cable for charging. Comes with a good selection of bits, the usual grinding discs, a couple of router bits, polishing pads etc. It also comes with a depth gauge and a useful shield to attach to the drill when grinding/cutting. It comes in a nice ABS case with space inside for any other bits you might get.I personally don't like collects, so bought a Dremel chuck which screws straight on replacing the collet.Would recommend this, a good alternative to Dremel. But only for what it's intended. Don't expect it to replace a 4inch angle grinder as some reviews.
