The tool also features the ez twist nose cap with an integrated wrench that allows the nose cap to be used as a wrench to tighten accessories and eliminates the need for a separate wrench. A more efficient fan design and side vents provide a cooler running tool making it comfortable for extended periods of use. The ability to use all existing dremel rotary tool accessories and most attachments let the 3000 complete a wide range of applications including cutting, grinding, sanding, carving and polishing a variety of materials.

This is my first Dremel and have been really enjoy using it. I don't really need that much power for my uses and this does the job for me. Changing the bits is very easy and not confusing for someone using it the first time. Honestly recommend this Dremel if you're not using it for anything big

I got this to help me carve out a slot in a wooden office desk. It’s the sort of thing that a jigsaw would be a ideal for, but (a) I don’t have one, (b) I preferred a smaller and more precise tool, and (c) I liked the versatility of the Dremel as a longer term investment. I also got the wood carving accessory kit (for wood, this basic kit only includes a fine point engraving tip).In the result, I didn’t find the Dremel very helpful. Even with heavier duty attachments specifically advertised for carving and “hollowing” wood, it was a whole lot of sawdust smoke and banshee screams for very little result. Even a small incision in an inch-thick wood might have taken half an hour to cut all the way through, and countless passes back and forth (the manual suggests to think of it like a paint brush). So I used this to help me start on some cuts, but found a basic handsaw infinitely more efficient at actually getting through the wood. You could engrave with this very easily, the problem is not power, per se, the issue is that it cuts in such powdery-fine bits. Imagine trying cut something in half with a sander. Even if I was actually carving (and not cutting) I imagine I’d want to get a head start with something like a chisel.

I've cut metal and plastic with this thing and it's pretty good. It cut through rusted bolts (m6) quite well as well as a stainless nut - right in half. no issues , did way better than I thought it would. get the right cutting disks and it's a good unit

This tool is easy to use and functions well. It does become hard on your wrists the longer you use it for because of the weight, but purchasing a Dremel shaft attachment fixes this issue and allows for more detail work to be done with less worry about kickback

This is my 4th Dremel in the last 20 years I do a lot of polishing and carving on rocks. This Dremel stands up to long term use. My last one lasted over 3 years but that is hundreds of steady hours of polishing and stone cutting. It's also nice that there are so many attachments available for it so I can also do little chores like tile cutting for those hard to fit corners in the tub surround and the kitchen backsplash.I ordered this at 2 am and had it at my door by 8 pm that night. My local hardware store wanted the same price but wouldn't have it for 2 weeks. Good work Amazon and Dremel. You keep me going.

This Dremel tool is a replacement for a Dremel tool I've had and used for many, many years that finally gave up the ghost. Dremel must believe and adhere to the concept that don't mess with a good thing. Such is the case with this unit. Can't say to much for some of the accessories in thecase though. The smaller sanding drums are kind of crappy and fall apart pretty easily. Other than the drums, haven't used any of the other accessories yet. But, the actual Dremel tool meets or exceeds all expectations.

i own the Dremel 3000 along with two dremel 7300s. one i painted one i modified to hold the detailers grip. also pictured is the flexshaft made by dremel. Let me tell you a quick story. i bought the 3000 and it has been awesome. i bought an off brand flexshaft. bad idea it broke in the first use. the 7300s i bought both had defective shaft stoppers. to which i wrote dremel asking if i could exchange one for a flexshaft. they did one better. they gave me a flexshaft and let me keep my 7300s which still work. i know i should probably only talk about the 3000 but with all the amazing products dremel puts out how can you. So here dremel 3000 is awesome and fairly quiet and actually seems to be quieter with the flexshaft attachment on. multiple speed ranges to fit probably any project thrown at it. ive run mine id say a good 80-100 hrs 20 of those with the flexshaft on. the brushes are still in great shape and motor bearings still run very smooth and quiet. if your like me. a do it your selfer. ill take mine apart and service it as it needs to be. its a fairly simple task. but just note when taking it apart. you need to cut the stickers at the seams or it wont come apart. also the brushings are graphite so be careful of those to. and if you get it back together and turn it on. only for nothing to happen. theres a good chance that where the motor and electric components connect. they probably got a bit loose which is an easy fix. just by making sure all the prongs on the motor are back in position firmly. never force the issue. because if im not mistaken. at this point the warranty is probably voided due to opening the device yourself. anyways great amazing product. by an even better company. 10 stars if i could

Hated to go with a corded tool but until these guys can come up with a sustainable battery this is the way to go to cut out outlets after hanging sheetrock. And polishing tarnished chrome wheels. Or anything that requires more than a half hour work

If I was buying this again, I'd consider getting a Dremel 3000 that came with more accessories and a case.

works exceptionally well once you have all the bit's, there isn't really a task it isn't up for.(side note: tested using cars 12v plug works fairly well with car turned off and just as well as a house hold plug when car is running)
