It's ok but not much more portable than their more well known stand. I found that I could fit my other Hercules stands in the pocket in my guitar case. This one would have to fit behind the neck. It would work if you have one of those large square pockets in your case.

I have been a gigging bassist for 47 years. Have more basses than most stores. In all those years, I have tried every kind of stand I could find. Most worked well, some not so much. This one is a bit different and worth a look. First, it folds up so you can actually put it in a gig bag. BRILLIANT. Second, it is sturdy enough to hold a 10lb 5 string bass securely on stage. FANTASTIC. Third, it doesnt cost as much as most stands that offer as much stability and I dont have to walk into a gig with a stand in one hand and my bass in the other making it hard to open the door! My stand is in the bag. I think it is worth considering if you are looking for a good all around stand for electric instruments.

this little stand is a lovely beast.super sturdy and supportive. any part of the stand a guitar might touch is covered and sufficiently protective. the feet of the stand are all covered as well, so the stand stays put and won't scratch floors.in terms of assembly, there was none required. the stand arrived folded. one need only unfold to use and fold when not in use. the folding and unfolding can feel a bit stiff, but not so much that it's an issue for me.the stand when open and in use takes up very little space, which was largely why I chose it.this brand is reputable and this stand upholds that reputation.the stand, as a means of storing a guitar outside a case, is great. just a slight lift off the floor but enough that it eliminates any worry about damage. the upper support is just as good.the folding capability will be great for travel as it's very packable and doesn't take up much space when folded.

No assembly required. Folding is nice and firm. Not flimsy. Feels well built. Weight is perfect. It's light but not cheap light. It has enough weight to keep it planted.Holds my guitar well, and has a super minimalist feel and appearance.It's padded for protection and locks into an open position well.

Great stand , had it for a while now and can say it works great with my bass guitars , feels nice and sturdy and pretty lightweight and compact! Highly recommended ! Only negative I can think of is the foam padding on the pressure points (as another reviewer stated previously) feels like it will rip/tear after prolonged use. I might remedy this by buying some foam tape so it wraps around the pressure points. I hope Hercules uses thicker foam in future generations to address this issue.
