The description said it was for repair of a 3/8 air hose did not say they would not work on rubber air hose.

I wish they had been a little bit bigger to fit the air hose.

This products works well but may need to modify the hose to fit. If the hose is a thicker style hose like the one in the pic, you will have to take a razor blade and shave the outer layer of the hose to fit the two pieces together at the end. Not a big deal, it fit nicely after a small modification.
