Visually, the casing is indistinguishable from the factory version. Do not overtighten the circuit board screws; these screws only need to hold the circuit board in position, they do not need to, shall I say, fasten the board to the casing. If you crank the circuit board screws tight your fob will not work properly. Trust me, it took a lot of fiddling on my part to sort that out. For that matter, do not overtighten the body screws either, you risk cracking the casing. Get them to just snug and stop. This is particularly true for the screw at the key loop recess.

I had to drill holes through where the screws bolt in, and put a small nut & bolt to hold it together, the screw holes tend to strip out really fast (like first time)

The remote that came with my car looked like it had been ran over a few times. There was no way to attach the key, one side was split, one of the buttons has been stuck in place for years. I took a shot on this replacement and I'm glad I did. Looks and functions just like a new remote and took literally 5 minutes to swap. It was missing one of the 2 screws when it showed up but I just used the one remaining screw in the old remote.

My old circuit board transferred over easily and fit perfectly. It works like it should so no complaints there. The plastic is slightly textured but it didn't bother me. All in all, I'm super happy with this reasonably priced case.

I am very glad I bought two of these. The good point is they are a perfect replacement, which is why I gave the product 2 stars. The troublesome points come in over craftsmanship, and the actual failure to provide correct parts. First off, I had to punch my own holes into the 'pink' protective liners that are part of this case. I feel this step wouldn't have been detracting if it weren't for the following two items, but it stands out across the entire purchase. The next issue was that the shell was a perfect fit, but the security screws provided were the completely wrong size to hold the new shell together. It should be noted that the original circuit board and circuit board screws are provided by the user, so those worked fine. That brings us to the final frustration. After providing my own screws to hold the new shell together (which were originals from the old Subaru fob) the plastic where it screws in broke after only 5 months of use. This to me is a glaring failure and should be identified in future re-iterations of the product.

Arrived without screws. The originals broke, which doesn't matter since this product does not work anyway. The plastic buttons don't reach down to push.
