If you look closely at the picture you will see a flex shaft from another manufacturer I mention this because it works perfectly so much so it's like they were made in the same factory. So all the other accessories will too. Not only have I become cordless I've gained a lot more torque. This is really handy when out cutting fire wood & the chainsaw chain needs to be sharpened saves time because I don't have to remove the chain from the bar for less than five minutes to have razor sharp chain!

First time we used this was to cut the cast off of an 2 month old baby calf!A new born calf got its back leg broke so we put a cast on it. Then 6 weeks later we used this with a little round saw blade, out in the pasture to cut the cast off.... no cords to tangle up, because said calf didn't appreciate us pinning it down to do this procedure, but we did have to change the battery to finish!!Those casts are HARD! Worked like a charm though!!

I bought this item for my son for Christmas last year, 2019 and within 8 months it wouldn’t work anymore. For the price I paid for this, you’d think it would last longer. I tried to contact the seller, however I was unable to get a refund, or a new one, as it was over the one month warrantee. I checked with Milwaukee, called them, emailed them, left a message and still have not heard back from them either. Their website says these tools have a 5 year warrantee, but it seems impossible to get anyone to speak to about it, so the warrantee isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. Due to this, I will probably never buy a tool off Amazon again, as it doesn’t seem worth it. It didn’t come with a bag either, as shown. UPDATE: MILWAUKEE took the drill back and sent me a new one at no charge. It did cost me for shipping it back.

The rotary tool works great!.. However, the product displayed, is not as advertised.. Was very disappointed that the carrying case DISPLAYED in the photo DOES NOT come with the tool!..

Excellent "Dremel" tool that takes M12 12-volt batteries. Bought this tool after picking up a drill and impact driver combo kit. Accepts the same batteries and is pretty powerful.Accepts most of the Dremel attachments for sanding, cutting, polishing, etc. I've used the included Milwaukee cutting discs to cut through nails and bolts. I got some sanding attachments that work really well on wood.Couple tips when using this tool.1. Let the tool do the work. Do not push and apply much pressure. If you apply too much pressure by pushing into the wood or metal your working on, the tool will automatically shut off to indicate you're pushing it beyond what it can take.2. Wear safety glasses. It doesn't matter what you're cutting or sanding - protect your eyes! The bit can fly off or a piece of wood or metal could fly off. Don't skip this tip even for the smallest job!Overall, excellent tool whether you have other Milwaukee M12 tools or not. This thing is powerful and works with Dremel bits, making it a versatile little tool you'll find useful for all sorts of DIY or crafting jobs.

I'm giving this 5 stars right now because I haven't had any issues yet. I haven't had the vibration issues some people reported so hopefully that only happens on a few units. Really prefer this unit over the dremel because I can have one less battery charger. It's basically the same as a dremel and all accessories work with it so I have no complaints.

I've become a big Milwaukee fan of late, we've switched most everything we have over to M18 and M12 Milwaukee tools. We have few complaints. The tools perform great, the batteries last long, the tools are built tough. I give them 4-5 stars regularly, and we use them professionally, not as homeowners with light duty.However, Milwaukee has dropped the ball on a few small things. One, is soft bags. These just allow your tools to get beat up in the soft bag. Buy the hard plastic cases if you can, though they need to put storage space in the molded boxes for accessories, like bits and sockets and blades; there's always room for them to have done so. Second, is the cost of batteries, hopefully that will improve, but they are great batteries.Finally on this M12 Rotary tool, it's really well built, but Milwaukee put in an ALUMINUM collet adapter? Mine broke the first bit I put in. We fortunately had one from a dremel that fits and is steel. Plan on buying collet adapters, especially if you plan to use smaller than 1/8" shank bits.

Wow. I love the M12 tools I have (Drill, Driver, Camera). This may be my favorite so far. This is my first wireless rotary tool and its so nice to be untethered. I was worried about the power -- but this thing is great. I was also worried about the precision. I have a cheapo Kawasaki rotary tool I bought at Costco -- not only did the lock break on that, but it never turned totally true. The Milwaukee though --- it was absolutely true. I had to drill out a broken 6-32 tap on a rifle, and was very worried about ruining the hole and/or the receiver. However the bit turned true, and I was able to drill through the whole broken tap and remove it without damaging the hole. Finished drilling and tapping and everything turned out great. I'm very happy with this guy, and I'm totally sure it'll do plenty of work for me, just like my other M12 tools have.Big bonus -- for the price you get the tool, a nice case with velcro straps, a battery, and a charger. Great deal in my opinion.

THIS TOOL DOES HAVE THE SAME THREADING BELOW THE COLLET FOR USING DREMEL ATTACHMENTS COMPATIBLE WITH THE DREMEL 300 AND OTHER COMPARABLE MODELS EXAMPLE:THIS SHARPENER ATTACHMENT NOT ONLY FITS IT IS PERFECTLY COMPATIBLE!I recently bought this to add to my m12 collection. I was very happy with my m12 hackzaw so I decided to stick with milwaukee for a rotary tool. I do agree with some of the reviews that others have posted that it is good for small jobs rather than big. But in my opinion this is the kind of tool that is a backup when you cannot or do not want to use anything else. The best thing about this tool is that when you are thinking of buying it and you cannot think of what you are going to use it for, but once you own it you will be using it often. I used it to cut commercial floor tile the other day and just after that I sharpened my lawnmower blade with it. I used a dremel brand attachment for sharpening and it threaded on the attachment point perfectly.
