The auger works as expected but the handle is way too short to dig 4 ft deep for a fence post. We had to make an extension for the handle for it to work.

Easy to assemble: working as expectedSeems to be a decent build quality.Only desire and attachment extension handle so a tall person wouldn't have to bend down as much to give the required twisting force to Auger hole that is desired.

La tarière est beaucoup trop fragile et mal conçue (il n'y a pas de coté tranchant sur la vis, alors elle ne mord pas dans la terre) pour faire des trous dans un sol le moindrement compacte. Peut-être pour faire des trous à la plage dans le sable, dans la boue ou dans une piscine de jell-o, mais pas pour planter des poteaux dans du vrai sol. Décevant.

Installed a small fence with 4x4 post in concrete. Did not need large holes since it is a very small (20 feet) fence with 4 posts, but needed to go bellow frost line.This was ALMOST perfect (thus the 4 stars). The drill part was perfect, but I had to build an extention out of tubing to make it go deeper.Beside that, it is a WAY better tool than the "pincer" model with two handles for me because I have a lot of clay where I live, starting 1.5/2 feet deep. The drill effect of this auger was really digging it into the clay. Perfect.

This auger has made planting the trees so easy for me. I planted small tree plants for my fence, so I had to plant more than 100 trees around. This auger saved me lots of hard work. With help of this auger and the shovel, I was able to plant all tree plants in 3 days. fast and efficient. It goes up to 6" wide and 2 to 3' deep depending how deep you want to dig. All the holes were made through grass and I planted after rain so the soil was soft and wet. The augers get lots of mud, but it was easy to remove while working this auger.I found starting of any hole with this auger is bit tricky as you have to assert the maximum force, but once the auger has penetrated the roots of the grass, it was easy enough to keep going. At some place, I had issues with rocks and hard materials, so shovel helped me to remove those items and to make the mouth a bit wider for the plant to plant easily.

Handy little tool especially if you only need to make a couple of post holes. I used it to do a couple of 4 x 4 posts and they worked perfectly and it was so easy. But I do have sand and not clay soil so I don’t know if that would make a difference. Definitely happy with this purchase… Definitely not a heavy duty tool, but at the same time it’s great for Small gardens and yards.

This product worked amazing. It was our 1st timedigging post holes and building a fence ourselves. The ground was very rocky in some spots which made it more difficult to use but I’m just dirt we were able to quickly dig 2.5 foot deep holes in about 10-15 minutes
