Your cart is empty. The Caddis RH rod holder is designed for float tubes and pontoon boats. It will accommodate most fly, spinning and casting rod/reel combos. Adjustable wrap around webbing with a quick disconnect buckle makes attachment easy and quick. The RH will rotate and lock into any desired position so you can have your rod/reel combo positioned the way you like.

It doesn't hold any of my fly rods despite it claiming it holds fly rods. It even has a fly rod on the cover of the packaging. All my fly rod wobble and fall out of the holder within seconds or simply don't fit. If I take the reel off my fly rod and put it back on when the rod is in the rod holder, it just wobbles and falls out. When I move in the water the rod pops out practically instantaneously. Good thing I was in shallow water when testing this utterly useless holder so I could just get the rod out of the water when it fell out. The only way to keep any of my fly rods in is to wrap the holder with tape forcing them to stay put making the rod holder even more utterly useless. The straps to hold the base of the rod holder doesn't keep the holder still on my float tube, but slides towards the water even when I haven't tried putting my fly rods in it. Every single time I've tested it by making it tighter and different configurations it loosens up and slides towards the water. Ironically this fly rod holder doesn't work well with a Caddis float tube since you only have a tiny area to attempt to strap onto the tube. This thing is poorly designed and the last time I buy a Caddis Sports product.I cannot recommend this product to anyone and I feel deceived for purchasing this garbage of a rod holder. It doesn't do the most basics of a rod holder for a float tube. It doesn't hold the rod and staying stable on float tube.

It keeps your rods very securely while still keeping it accessible.Very well designed, confident that I won’t lose a rod.

It seems like everyone is complaining about the holder separating from the base but mine seems solid. The real problem here is the opening that you're supposed put your rod in. Its way to small. It was about a quarter inch. No possible way for the cork handle of my fly rod to fit in as you can see in the first picture. The picture shown on the product page is not even close to the actual product. The product photo has a much larger gap and is able to fit the thick cork part of a fly rod. Instead of returning this I decided to modify it. I cut about a half inch of the holder off to allow space for the my rod to slide in. I would imagine this would work great for regular spinning rods but for my fairly standard fly rod it didn't work.

These rod holders are the greatest additions to my float tube. Verry ez to install. I fish for channel cat at night. They hold my rods in place. I use spinning rods. And level winds. They are awesome. Great product. Well made.

It's meant for spinning reels. Most fly reels need an extra effort to load into the unit.

I bought this to go with my Classic Cumberland float tube.It does the job well enough, though I note it's little awkward with a spinning rod/reel, with the reel handle that extends past the reel. It's a little awkward to position the rod holder such that the butt end of the rod fits and doesn't get jammed up against the float tube.Don't get me wrong, it definitely works.I think with a fly rod (shorter butt end past the reel), it would work even better.Definitely handy to have to keep the rod secure while busy changing rigging, grabbing a snack, removing a hook, etc.

Nice rod holder, and works pretty well. It is, however, a bit too easy to accidentally de-couple the holder from its base, sometimes -- usually easier to do it by mistake than on purpose, in fact. It's also at a bit of an odd angle and a tad low, for a spinning rod and reel. It's obviously been mainly designed for a fly reel, and is just doing double-duty simply because the spinning rod fits. It wasn't designed for it, necessarily. It just seems that to have your rod off to the side like it should be, when holding it, the opening for accessing the rod is in a very awkward place. In a future revision, I would highly suggest articulating the holder to allow it to be rotated independently from its riser. As it is, there are pre-determined angles it can "lock" into, and only one of them actually works at a useful angle with a float tube and spinning rod. The other suggestion would be some sort of thumb-screw or other locking mechanism for removing the holder from the base; it really needs to be more secure. More than once, when trying to remove the rod from the holder, the whole thing came up with it.Great idea, and I'll continue to use mine when needed, but sometimes I don't even bother because of the hassle, which tells me something.

This is an excellent little tool for holding your favorite fly rod in position. For you float-tubers this holder keeps the tip of the fly pole from getting damaged as you enter and exit the water. I used to lay my fly rod across my lap and/or try and hold it while entering and exiting the water. I managed to break the tip of one of my favorite rods doing this. This holder also allows you to warm your hands up during those cold October float tubing fishing trips. This holder can fit either left or right hand fishermen/women. It straps-on to your float tube and has no sharp edges or protrusions, so you don't need to worry about punching a hole in your float tube bladder. It works on any torpedo-shape (round) float tube bladder. I have mine attached to a non-Caddis brand float tube and it works perfect.
