Works ok for our cats matted hair but you can’t just yank it through the fur. You have to hang on to the mat fur and use the brush to try to untangle it.

My elderly cat stopped grooming and was getting these bad mats in his fur and he would growl and hiss when I would try to take them out. Using the furmantor took forever and really pulled on his fur as did a comb. I was suggested to use a shaver but didn't want my cat looking stupid so I saw this. The best thing I ever bought. I got about 90% of allllll his mats out in about 10 min. It would take me 5 min to get one bad mat out. He still growls and hisses lol but he's old and I know I am not hurting him. It combes but seems to cut through the mats. He looks great and I am sure he feels much better. I would definitely recommend this and the price you can't go wrong.

This brush is fabulous ! A family member who is attending grooming school told me about this, and it works much better than brushes costing a lot more. The brush gets out all of the clumps of undercoat that show up in the spring around the hips of your pup. I couldn't believe the amount of hair that we got out in just one brushing. It allows the coat to lay so much smoother. I highly recommend.

I have tried many brushes. I have a white cat that sheds so much- in the spring , I create several new cats, brushing him. The fur never stops!!!This brush is amazing, It literally gets all the loose fur… 4-5x more than any other brush I’ve used.

I purchased this with low expectations as it was very good value, expecting to receive another useless pet brush that worked only one tenth as good as they claim, only to be blown away with how effective and easy it was to use the brush, my two long hair cats love when i brush them with this brush and it removes so much of the hair they naturally are shedding, with no pain as it cuts through any clumps seamlessly. i cannot recommend this enough for anyone who has long hair pets as this has been a lifesaver. (and it’s extremely satisfying seeing how much fur you’ve managed to save your clothes and house from)

This pet brush works VERY well! I have a black Labrador and her hind legs have semi-loose undercoat due to the time of year it is. I tried using 2 other brushes I have with no luck to pull the undercoat off. I watched the video for this brush and decided for the price of it that it's worth a try. I have to say, this is the best product yet that I have purchased off Amazon! Don't think this brush would work very well on tight curly hair dogs, but on a more straight hair like my lab's hair worked well and her coat is so silky smooth now and she loved getting a good scratching too while I brushed her.

If you’re looking for a sign to try this you found it. I used it on both my long haired cats and that pile of hair is just from one of them. I use it once a week to prevent matting and it’s especially helpful when they’re beginning to shed their winter coat. They don’t mind it for the most part as they like being brushed and it’s very gentle, just go slow if you hit a bad tangle. Both of them hated it on their back legs so I’m unsure if it maybe pinched a little so just be careful in that area. Amazing product and seems very durable!

This is a really good quality double sided de-shedding and de-matting grooming brush and at £13.99 a really good buy which will last you for years. It has a comfortable hand grip and the comb teeth are metal which also makes it easy to remove the hair that does come off your pet.I got this to use for my cat that is now coming up for 14 years old and so was getting some matted fur around the back end of her as she now struggles to clean round there and it really was amazing how much it helped and the amount that it picked up which you can see in the photo. One thing is you have to be quite gentle and not do too much all at once, they usually show signs that they have had enough so I then just left it and tried again later in the day. After a few days she looked a lot more smooth and shiny and she enjoyed the combing with purring until it got where she had had enough. I would recommend for any pet owner and would definitely buy this in future.

I really like this product! There are 2 sides to this comb, one with widely spaced teeth, the other side more closely spaced. I've used it on 4 of my 5 long haired cats in the 2 days since it arrived and it really got a ton of hair and mats out of them all. I first used the wide side to get the mats out, then flipped it over and used the other side to remove all the rest of the loose hair. The size of the tool gives you really good coverage, allowing you to get lots done in very little time, if your cat allows it.I did try it on my one short haired cat, but it didn't work any better than the other types of brushes I have, but she never mats up anyway. But on those mat-prone long-hairs, it's amazing. I could have made a couple of extra cats out of the pile of hair I got from using it on my four hairy house-goblins!The best thing is that it's so reasonably priced, compared to some other de-matting tools I've tried, and works so much better. I highly recommend!

We have a soft coated Irish Wheaten Terrier and anyone who has one of these will know just how matted and tangled their fur gets despite being brushed twice a day. We have tried numerous brushes, combs and solutions but all to no avail.At the recent appointment with the dog groomer, it was necessary to shave the poor creature and she looked like a Christmas turkey! So now the fur has grown back some what, this grooming set came along and again, we thought it worth trying.Basically, it works brilliantly! While the brush can seem rather vicious looking at first, it really does remove matts and tangled fur with no stress to the dog, in fact, she simply carries on chewing her toy without complaint. We will always have to keep her fur short rather than allow it to grow too long but with these it shouldn’t be a problem in the future.Well worth the money and definitely five out of five from me!
