I had to repair the soldering on the board and make modifications to fix it. Still not a good product. Well good for a laugh, a company selling soldering tools that don’t know how to solder themselves. I treated the purchase as a puzzle so… Hehehehe

It comes with various tips and is temperature adjustable. You have to supply your own power cord but that's not a big deal. The soldering iron heats up within seconds. I recommend 👌 it.

Started up at 300C temp and nothing, cranked up to 350 and it barely melted the old solder on a standard crimp connector. No problem for my old 40w Weller.

Oh man.. this is a nice iron! and only $99 CAD plus stand, tip cleaner and extra tipsWhen I replaced my 6 yr old LK-937 digital iron I was looking for some improved features and the KSGER delivered:(1) readily available and quick swappable tips and heating elements - KSGER comes with 3 - T12 combined element and tip units and I purchased an additional set of 6 FIETA - T12/T15 tips - the same ones used in the famous Hakko irons - note that T15 tips and T12 tips are interchangeable - same physical size and wattage. So far I've just used the D16 chisel tip. I've had a lot of experience soldering, but never experienced such heat control and perfect welds as I produced with this guy!(2) the handle of my old iron got so hot I could barely hold it - the KSGER remains cool, is smaller, lighter and better balanced.(3) I was never sure when the old iron was up to heat - the KSGER reaches set point temperature from cold in just 8 seconds, beeps when its there and displays set point, and calibrated tip temperature on an information packed OLED display. It holds within 2 degrees C of the set point on the constantly updating display.(4) I've forgotten to switch off the old iron for days, which likely lead to its demise - the KSGER has a slick shutoff that monitors handle movement - it gives you a warning before shutting off after a settable number of inactive minutes - and it reheats to set point by just picking it up - sweet!(5) An unexpected bonus is boost mode which allows you to step up the temperature when you need a little extra heat then return to your normal set point quickly. Very handy for those big pads. The manual is a 2 page document that is quite understandable but a bit light on words. There are some functions that are not intuitive without referring to the manual.Be aware that it does not come with a stand, tip cleaner or AC cable. But that let me choose the stand and tip cleaner of my preference - I found the Kotto magnetic base coil spring style stand fits the handle well after slipping a washer into the end, and the Aoyue TY-98 tip cleaner is perfect. However, in my opinion you cant go wrong with this iron.

I got this exactly as described. Nice little iron and kit.I am writing this as I accidentally wrote I a review saying I didn't receive this product.. I was trying to write that about another product but I think it came through on this one.I apologize I don't know how to correct that but if folks put two an two together, they'll see my name is same on both reviews an know to ignore that one. This is a great little iron, heats up fast and has been great in use.Came packaged well, wrapped in foam an tightly bound,I would recommend.

This is first soldering upgrade I have made to my long serving daily driver Hako 936 in probably 8 years. Very nice unit, easy to use, good temperature control, easy to follow menu setup and function selection. Uses the standard T12 cartriges. Nice cord, small footprint. Thought there was a problem at first but turns out my fault. Unit does not come with power cord. Naturally the first one I pulled out of surplus box was a dud. Moral: throw old pwoer cords out if they are goners ! Keeping Hako 936 on bench but will be using this KSGER T12 unit as primary solder tool here on. Worth getting a decent solder stand holder for itwhen ordering. I don't normally give 5 out of 5 for anything unless it is truly exceptional. This is a very good ratng from me.

Very impressed with this unit as it has features the top brands have at 1/3 the price point. Has 99 memory slots for tip elements and you can calibrate (using a thermocouple tip tester) each tips temperature offset if they are not spot on. And once stored in memory you just need to select the tip you have installed in the handle and your good to go.Heats up very quickly and seems to do a very good job of regulating the temperature. Mine came with the blue handle with yellow insulator grip which stay very cool during usage. The included manual sheet is a little confusing at first but like an iPhone you can easily figure out the menus and how to set it up. It came with 3 common tips and replacements are very affordable and easy to get. Time will tell on it's longevity but if you're looking for a soldering station and don't want to dish out big cash then this is the ticket.
