Despite some of the negative reviews, this steering shaft is actually heavier then the oem one that came off the truck. Yes it’s welded instead of being cast like oem but the welds seem good and overall the structural integrity does not seem much less then oem. One thing I noticed was oem shaft was pressed into sleeve that slides over gearbox shaft. This one from Amazon is welded right there which in my opinion is better from a structural stand point.

Hole way too big on the pinion gear, fit sloppy and made steering worse. Took it off and threw it away
