These are just coiled mild steel, not spring steel, so they'll tend to rust up and might become less springy over time. However, for the price they're still a good value and they get the job done. Fit fine on my drill press and provide the necessary return spring action. Being a 2-pack, this product also provided me with a spare coil to keep in reserve, which I appreciate given how hard it is to find these things in my neck of the woods.
