Can't complain, with this you get better than what you pay for. I bought this to see if it could cut off a brass fitting inside a wall. I still have plenty of cutting wheel left. Using cable was great to get at a few old nails to remove. Couldn't use hammer as wall too delicate. Recommended product.

Purchased this when my flexible shaft Dremel unexpectedly died. The Wen offers incredible value for the price. Works well, and time will tell how durable it is. My complaint is with the quality of the flexible shaft. there is no lock button on the shaft when tightening the collar — you have to insert the pointy end of the wrench or a small screwdriver — no big deal, but makes it a bit more awkward. The main issues are that the end of the shaft gets hot and there is a lot of vibration. If you are doing precision work, I would suggest that you look for a better quality unit.

This is a good example of a generic rotary tool, and represents good value. But there's one important difference, and that is the thread size on the drive shaft. Original Dremel tools use a 0.28" shaft diameter, with a thread count of 40 TPI. This tool uses a metric value of approximately 8mm; and this means that any Dremel accessory intended to fasten directly to the rotating shaft - a miniature drill chuck, for example - will not fit. Adding to the frustration is that this specification isn't mentioned anywhere, with the result that you can easily wind up purchasing accessories that will fit a Dremel, but won't fit this. And indeed, that is what happened to me. So, a word to the wise: try to determine if the thread size of the shaft is compatible with original Dremel accessories. I can tell you that this tool is not.EDIT: Since writing this review, i have found two chucks on Amazon that will fit this rotary tool. Here are the links:https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B019NYNLLI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1and the genuine Wen rotary tool chuck, here:https://www.amazon.ca/2305-KC-Keyless-Rotary-Tool-Chuck/dp/B072LXHBHP/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=wen+rotary+tool+chuck&qid=1583980808&s=hi&sr=1-3I purchased the less expensive one, and can verify that it works well. Given that this tool is supplied with a flexible shaft extension, the availability of this chuck probably means that there's no reason to avoid purchasing this tool as a result of incompatibility. The vast majority of accessories will fit in the jaws of this chuck, so with the addition of this chuck you basically sidestep the incompatibility issue.

This works really well. Even though it is not expensive, I am impressed with the quality. The variable speed makes it nice to dial in just the right RPMs for the job. I love the flex shaft and its smaller handle, which makes it a lot easier to control the tool head for fine details. It comes with a large selection of bits, and I purchased some extra diamond bits for it that were not expensive at all. It reminds me of my expensive jewelery tool I used as a jeweler, but the cost is way less. I look forward to many hours of fine detail work with it.

If you are looking for a replacement fora tool that goes by a well-known name, I believe you have it here. I made the mistake of buying something similar from a cheap tool store and it would bog down when trying to do almost anything...no power at all. This rectified the situation and goes so fast I have to make sure that I am extra cautious. I got a little spoiled (?) by the weak version of a different brand because that wasn't throwing shavings or items anywhere...This DEFINITELY will!!I got the version without the flex shaft (I wanted this to trim 223 brass..in which case you should get some metal cutting wheels). This is perfect and is way strong enough to do whatever I need. Just be careful, wear safety glasses and stay safe. This did come with a dearth of attachments but for the motor that is in this thing, it is a beyond good trade-off since most will probably go get their own anyway. For less than 17 bucks with Prime, I cannot complain though. It is sooo much cheaper than the brand name version that I can afford to buy the specific ones I want without worrying about breaking the bank. This is pretty awesome for the price and if it does not break or wear out prematurely, it will remain a hearty 5 stars! One question though...kind of funny but it goes to level 6 for the fastest setting. Funny...like how some tools go to 11. haha I'll still take it!

Good tool for price. Feels well made. Nice rotary dial for speed control. Use mine for models and has nice slower speed for a rotary tool. Just fast enough not to bog down but not to fast to melt anything. Note no lube oil in flex shaft. Used it on high and within moments to hot to hold shaft. Spring got to hot to hold. Also front of tool gets warm after a short periods ( five to ten minutes ) if you're going to use this tool lightly it will do the job for you. If you're into heavy duty cutting and grinding by a better tool. Update. Lubed flex shaft with film lube ( the consistency of light under coating ) hung shaft vertically and let lube run down. Ran shaft at low speed and high no over heating. Tool still gets warm to touch but it has an internal fan to cope with the heat.

For a couple of years now, I have wanted a Dremel tool bit simply could not bring myself to spend the money. Many jobs came and went, where I wished I had one. Quite by chance, I happened upon this rotary tool WITH A FLEX SHAFT and a number of assorted bits for a price that made it hard to say "no".As soon as it arrived, I started using it. While I will say that a couple of the sanding drums slipped a bit on the end of the shaft under pressure, all in all, I am super impressed. The assortment of bits, the variable speed of the tool and the added value of the flex shaft, made this a fantastic buy. Suddenly I was seeing a ton of jobs that I could benefit using this tool for and now I wonder how I went this long without one of these. Although I can not speak to it's longevity, I will say that this is an even greater value than I was hoping it would be. This is one of the better "surprises" from my many purchases on Amazon. I will buying a few more of these to take care of a couple of birthdays and possibly a Christmas gift or two. I believe in it that much. Will update review if anything is worthy of reporting over time...
