This air hose will get the job done. It stretches when you want more length and recoils when you need to store it away. The black plastic/rubber protectors just behind the two ends do a great job of keeping the metal-to-hose connection from getting damaged over time. The quick-coupler ends stay put when connected with a proper receiving piece (M-type) and disconnect smoothly enough when desired. Different aftermarket types of quick-coupler ends can be screwed onto the ends to replace the included ones, but the ones provided work just fine.One concern is how the material of the hose will stand the test of time. Brand new, it's a hard material. It's resilient enough for now, but I worry if something heavy were to fall on it, the hose might crack. I would feel better if it were more of a rubbery material instead of a plastic kind of material.Overall, I am content with this air hose, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good retractable coil air hose for occasional to moderate use.

I'm using the 25ft hose on a small 150psi pancake compressor for general around-the-house use. My last hose from Big Box Blue hardware leaked terribly around the swivel ends and eventually tore off around the connector. So far, THIS hose has been handling well with no leaks while slinging it around. Just finished up nailing some new baseboards in the Family/Dining Room and the length was perfect for keeping the compressor in the center of the room while I worked the perimeter. It also worked well for inflating the tires while leaving the compressor a few feet in front of the car.It's both flexible enough to stretch out without thinking something's gonna break from the strain, and strong enough to recoil back to a compact form for storage.The 10ft version felt too short for the above tasks. I ordered it not realizing how short 10 feet really is.

I always check the pressure on my tires before pulling out of town on a road trip. A few weeks ago we were leaving on a camping trip and the trailer had been sitting long enough it needed about 10 psi per tire. I have a very nice 50' straight pneumatic hose I use for big projects around the house such as framing or trimming. However, the cheap coiled hose that came with my compressor broke about a year ago. For a small job like airing up tires, the 50' hose is far too much hassle to pull out. I immediately began watching for a coiled cable and this one does not disappoint. It's much higher quality than the hose that originally came with the compressor. The fittings and grips feel great. It seems to coil cleanly. If you want to own only one hose that brings the best of both worlds perhaps consider the 50' coiled hose. For small jobs, I am very pleased with this 25 footer. Yootoo's 1/4" version of this hose has over 4k reviews. Looks like you can by confidence. Highly recommended if you need the 3/8" hose.
