I agree with others who say that the knobs are so small you can't tighten them up that well and they tend to slip off easily. They are okay but that is about all

The clamps are too wide and are not deep enough to work. Bye bye rod holder. Luckily the rod was saved.

When using for trolling my hook caught some weeds and pulled the entire rod holder off the side of the boat along with a $200 rod and reel. I had the rod holder attached to the railing of my pontoon boat but it never did seem to get tight enough. If you tightened it too much the screw part would start to bend. Totally useless in my opinion. I'm assuming a big fish would pull it off the same as the weeds did.
