Bought one to try , turns out to the best one I ever tried. Holds rod firmly in place an a simple lift upwards releases the rod from holder . 2 thumbs up on this one

Very easy to fit, great because it’s smaller and neater for rods in a boat and it’s quick release with a fish on, I had to drill through the base to put in a gutter bolt to keep the rod holder set as per where I needed it as it would turn when fish on and or fall off into water. Im going to put a shrink wrap around the rods handle as it’s a cork handle and it has become slightly damaged in the holder when catching weeds or rocks and the tension on the reel is set to tight.

These are very strong, better than some others that I had, a few quid more but well worth it. They come with all attachment brackets so can be mounted any way you like. Great quality, very happy, totally recommend.

Really clever product which keeps your rod firmly in place until you need it, plus it comes apart for storage if you dont want it on the boat all of the time, going to buy 4 more for my boat to give me several fishing positions, a strong robust product and easy to fix.
