This 2-5/16" trailer ball features a ball capacity of 15,000 lbs. It features a 1-1/4" shank diameter, a 2-5/8" shank length and a stainless steel construction to protect against the elements. Ok this ball is great , no more rust . First one came damaged sell was great about replacement . It is definitely worth the cost to deal with curt as they support their products . High recommend Curt’s stainless hitch balls .

I bought this after the chrome was wearing off my last hitch ball (yes, lubed). Stainless steel was more expensive, actually double the price, but this is so well built and I doubt I will get metal flakes like I had with the chrome now since it’s solid stainless. I’ve driven almost 3000 miles towing with it already. I should’ve bought this to begin with.

The bolt and lock washer, which are a big part of this, are not stainless. NO POINT of having a SS ball if everything else around is rusting away. Crap item for the price, wish I could return, but I noticed while installing.

Great looking hitch ball. I install it on a e2 hitch, and had to find a local dealer to have the ball mounted and torqued bc it required a special socket. Luckily there was a 4 wheel parts that had the tool and they torqued it down for me in no time.

All the stainless steel balls that I have been using for years still look great and let the trailer coupler move easily on them. This ball is no different and the 15k rating is perfect for any 14k trailer. Thread length is also fine.

Nut and washer not stainless steel. Curt we want a stainless steel nut and washer to go with the stainless steel ball.

Bought this 'used' from Amazon and it was brand new, not a scratch on it. Very happy with the 50% off and the tow ball itself is perfect. Only small gripe is the hardware isn't stainless, just the ball, but this is necessary as stainless on stainless can bind up and get annoying because its hard to machine perfect. I'm fine replacing the nut every 10 years.
